Do you use an external monitor on your camera?

Hi Jared, thanks a lot for this attractive budget tip! Just 1 question: What do you see on the X5 screen when you switch the R5 (II) to 4K 120P? I am just wondering because the specs of the X5 says 4K up tp 60P - not 120P. Thanks a lot for your feedback in advance! Kind regards, Ralf

Good question. 120 displays perfect on the monitor. The display just maxes out at 60 but it still shows on the monitor when your R5ii is recording at 120.

Nice video man,i was seeing a video on using a video adapter to connect an android phone,do you think it's worth it? Just starting with the gh4,rode videomic(i saw you love the rodes).

@@jjcc3382 thank you! I do love the rode mics. They are quality. I think connecting an android is a good cheap way to get into using external monitors. A lot of cameras allow remote view and focus and therefore can also work with tablets giving you a large screen. If you don’t want to rely on Bluetooth or WiFi then external dedicated monitors are nice and affordable. Gh4 is quality too. I used to have the gh5 and really liked it.
