I do feel like youre right about having to do a lot more with cap for the same impact, but i think for me, its the best way for me to contribute. With a lot of tanks, i feel like my hands are tied in certain situations. I can be frontlining and doing my damage but i wont have the mobility to remove a threat my teammates missed or pressure the supports. With cap, i feel like i can be a back line menace while also having enough mobility and health to swap between diving and tanking. He just allows me to go anywhere and be everywhere i need to be which feels perfect for me since im usually wanting to be everywhere anyways lol. He also does a good job cleaning up stragglers from my experience. When the team fight gets crazy and i see dps trying to run and find health packs or the support getting low trying to run back, i can immediately dive and punish them. Cap just has so much mobility that he can lockdown teamfights so your higher damaging teammates can clean house

Mr Fantastic main here, his skill ceiling is pretty damn high with managing his elasticity to essentially live forever, can stall and take space for so long. I do think his ult is pretty terrible unless super niche spots where the ceiling is low, I think he should get some love there like squirrel did to make him strong across diff maps.

I'm only in plat so I believe you most likely have a stronger grasp on the meta at high ranks and understanding of how people perform on characters up there, but seeing you put Star Lord at the same level as Wanda is wild, like his dps is far more consistent and his ult demands a response even when used incorrectly, when used correctly it takes a support ult or it removes 3~ people from the fight. Wanda when ulting right can get through the support ults but will rely heavily on either team support to pull it off or can end up putting herself in a bad position to remove just one enemy. What do you think makes Wanda so strong when mained? Are there any good Wanda players I should be watching?

The disconnect most likely comes from reading the tier list as a power rating. It's *not* that type of tier list. This list is based on the ability to climb with the character. I'm taking into account the ability for the characters to be impactful and allow players to consistently win matches and climb. Both Wanda and Starlord are in the same category because you're not climbing if you don't main them. Yes, certain aspects of their kit may do different things for their teams, however, overall if you played them a few games in a row you most likely will end up losing them due to lack of understanding the character. To directly approach the Starlord statement. Imo, his ult isn't that strong. On paper it may seem like it, but playing with players who understand how it works and what to do, it'll be countered, evaded, or he'll be shot out of the sky. Ultimates do not make or break characters/matches, especially if they are used incorrectly. As far as good players for characters, I have no clue. What you could do is go to the leaderboard and click players profiles and look at their history to find a Wanda in their recent matches *or* you could look at each profile until you come across a Wanda player. The former I think is easier. I hope that helps with the understanding of the list as well as how to find better players to watch. Honestly, for this game I don't think you need to find the "main", just a character similar. 🙏

As someone not at a top level yet, generally I consider a good ult for a dps any that demand an immediate response. Mr. Fantastic despite being a strong hero everyone would agree has a weak ult obviously as unless you're in a building or your team is retreating after already losing a fight you can easily reposition to handle it, while Hela would have a very strong one since as long as she's not whipping it out randomly it pressures such a large area. I heard another youtuber refer to these as checkmate ultimates since if the enemy team doesn't handle it, they lose the fight. Under these ideas, I'd put starlords ult in the good category but if you think it's stronger on paper than in practice, could you consider making some sort of video breaking down how impactful different characters ults are? I realize how situational a lot of them can be and it's hard to directly value them, but it would be interesting hearing a high level player's thoughts on this.

@HildaTwice When I think of ults, I mainly think of them in three ways. 1. Wipe potential 2. Anti wipe potential 3. Everything else. If a character has the first two as a solo player they are "good" ultimates imo. Regarding Mr Fantastic, I think his ult is fine, just needs to be used properly like...let's just say Wanda. People assume things are weak if they have counter play or if they need to be used strategically. This is a misconception imo. Same thing was said about squirrel girl and I didn't agree. However, good devs always tried to find a middle ground so they changed her ult for the community since everyone seemed to feel that way. I don't think Mr. Fantastic will get it changed, especially because he is new and people are learning still. Some character abilities require finesse and some characters don't. However, this is present in all hero based games, not just this one. That's not a great indicator to justify what is "good/bad" or "strong/weak". (again, my opinion) It's clear developers want to have players have a way to stop or avoid every ultimate and if it's too op there are limits to keep them in check (ie. Mr Fantastic). In regards of how impactful an ultimate is, it's really just based on how the player chooses to use it. There is no click button and it's impactful type of ultimate, you know? Even something like cloak and dagger can't just click and it's impactful. If used incorrectly or at the incorrect time it's not good at all It's possible you may be overthinking things. I used to as well a loooong time ago when I was into other hero/MOBA games. I remember one of my top rank friends, like too 10 in the world top rank told me that in one of the games he was helping me in. I came to the realization that if *he* a top rank player says that, then I must be. (he told me this as I was top 2% in the game, so even in high ranks I was overthinking) My advice, focus on the impact you have as a player. That'll go a lot longer of a way than what any character you select will do for you. 💪

I thought that too, but I also noted that if you don't main them, they are basically not even worth having on the list. Most people in high rank main their character, so I thought it was the better spot. I see where you're coming from though.

My theory is that low elo players are locking in duelist due to the fact they are on a losing streak on either tank or healer and while being tilted think it because of DPS. Even though they lockin duelist, they are already in a tilted state and they lose. Ending in the anger and toxicity loop that is low elo.

Oh that could possibly be it. People often do poor on tank *after* selecting it then swap and throw the game due to having no tanks. 😅 What I dislike the most is people waiting last second to pick and fill, but then play poorly and say they do not play the character or role. I'm just like...why didn't you just instalock your main and let real fill players fill instead of throwing the match? 🤔

Bro thank you. Rocket has the highest winrate for a support FOR A REASON. You fix your teammates stupid mistakes. He can shred if in triple support. His ult sucks, fine, but it doesn't matter in most of my games.

I've never struggled with him, so that's where I felt was a good spot. However, for those that do struggle, I can definitely see how it may be in a higher spot for them. 💪
