Not trying to dislocate my wrist, so I am gonna have to pass on the lanyard. The hospital bills would cost more than replacing the phone.
@tech_edit3 ай бұрын
Haha, fair. I ran through a few simulations with a friend grabbing my phone from dif angles and I found my wrist to be fine, but you're absolutely right. Some should definitely prioritise their health and safety.
@MisterHand3 ай бұрын
If you could find a way to have the phone lock when the lanyard was broken, that would work. Otherwise risk of injury would be too great. I care more about them getting my data than my phone.

Mous has ridiculous pricing. $44 for a thin case that probably costs dollars to make? $70 for the other ones? Who's buying these cases? The only expensive case I found worth it are Peak Designs. And they use better magnets and materials and they cost less.

Dollars to make? Think cents. Production is ridiculously cheap in more instances than you would think.

Regarding the phone thefts: Google is rolling out a feature that locks your device when a theft like that is detected.

Hello friend, I would like to ask you a question about mous carbon. The only question I have is if the lenses are well protected when you put the lens down. case on a slightly irregular surface... I have the feeling that the bump in the protection is very small and the camera is not completely protected. What do you think friend?
@rajTrondhjem10Ай бұрын
I would NOT use a lanyard phone as I do not want to be dragged into the road should the unfortunate event of snatching occur. It is a potential safety issue in my opinion.

Is the green Google case and a Pixel 9 Pro in porcelain a good match?

I like the clarity 2.0 but it is glossy on the side edge. Is it slippery to hold? Thank you

No, it's very grippy in my experience.

Can you tell if the official cases are less rubbery than the previous ones by google? Because they were too rubbery for me in the past. I always pulled my trouser pocket out of my trouser pocket with the phone...
@tech_edit4 ай бұрын
That's exactly what I'm talking about in the video, had the same experience with the old cases. These ones are a bit better - slightly more satiny feel - so definitely an improvement when taking out of the pocket. They still aren't as easy to slide in as the Mous Limitless or Clarity cases (or the Super Thin transparent case), but they look excellent. Basil

I have the Hazel Pixel 8 and Olive Super Thin Mous case and I love the combo, so disappointed they aren't releasing an Olive Super Thin case for the Pixel 9 Pro, it's seriously making me question whether to upgrade my phone or not. The Mint green Super Thin case is just far too bright and feminine a colour for me.

Those recessed buttons particularly on the Mous Super Thin case are a little concerning. How does it feel pushing the power and volume buttons? Also, when placing the phone face down, do the edges of the case protect it? It would be great if you could address these two aspects in future case reviews, thanks!
@tech_edit4 ай бұрын
You're absolutely right, the recessed button holes are a compromise. If you're not used to Pixels (which put the volume buttons below power buttons unlike most phones) it can throw you. They aren't as easy to press as dedicated buttons, however, I have pretty big hands and got used to them quite quickly. Also, yes, the edges are raised slightly above the display - but not by much. If you put a tempered glass screen protector, I would imagine that would be flush with the front of the case, or possibly protrude slightly. Hope that helps! Basil

I found this video while looking for a replacement for my Mous magnetic case. The magnets on it aren't very strong at all.

Thanks for the comment. They've held up for my needs, are you experiencing failure in a specific situation? I'll make sure to incorporate it into my testing if so.

The superthin cases look good but you didntt mention the slits/darts in the bottom corners or the fact that it doesnt protect the front at all. Not only no lip bit the silver looks exposed all the eay around the front of the phone.

Great video! The Google cases are beautiful. Really wish they had lanyard holes. That is the only way my Pixel is rocked.. Usually with a Ringke Onyx case with a Ringke wrist lanyard! 💯🕶️💜

It's a great balance of being grippy and not clinging to fabric when putting it in your pocket. Also, great choice on the 9 Pro. I've been using it alongside the 9 Pro XL for the last week, and have been really surprised by how well the Tensor G4 has managed battery life and heat. It's such a great phone. Basil

I would love a thin case, currently rocking a cheap Nillkin case on my p9, while it's a good case ito protect the phone t's also too thick to my taste. Mous thin case sounds like my only option here but the price ...😢 Seriously

Goodness, thanks for the insight. I've used a Mous case on my S22 for years and didn't have an issue, though it was the Speckled one. I'm not a fan of the wood finishes - and your experience doesn't sound good. Hope you get a case that works great for your needs - let me know if there are any other brands you've had excellent experiences with. Basil

bad review, it's never mentioned if the cases have a good grip in the hands or if they are slippery ,something that is extremely important for a case 👎 basically he talks only about the look 🙄
