What are winters like in Lancaster, Pennsylvania?

Not bad! We get some snow and cold, and occasionally some bigger winter storms, but otherwise it’s fairly temperate. So far this winter, we’ve only had a dusting of snow so far (though it’s very unusual to not have much snow by now). I have a video on the weather in Lancaster right here on this channel!

I’m curious about the new reports I have been reading about potential flooding areas in Lancaster county within The next 30 years due to climate changes and increased storms. Tell me, how accurate is this??

FEMA redraws the maps nationwide every year. As extreme rain events get more frequent/intense, these lines can get drawn to include more homes/areas. But the idea that there’s going to be a massive new wave of flooded areas in the next 30 years is probably not correct. Put it simply: I wouldn’t worry about it here.

Yes! Lebanon Vet hospital is just one county north. About a 30-45 minute drive from Lancaster.

Hey Matt! Great video.We have been searching for land (5 acres +) with a small house for 2.5 years with absolutely no luck!!! EVERYTHING IS AUCTION AND THE AMISH HAS IT LOCKED ! CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING UNDER 500 GRAND EVEN FORECLOSURES..this is disappointing, I need the inside baseball!! whats the deal with the Lancaster county real estate market ?I need a small Hobby farm A>S>A>P Bill from Pa

Just like anywhere in the world, there is always crime somewhere. But Lancaster is certainly not known for that. My recommendation would be to contact local PDs to get crime stats if you’re interested.

your diversity comment #3 is a little disturbing ! why do you assume that's a good thing? that is not always the case ! not a good talking point , have you ever been to Philadelphia with similar polices ? seriously ? Lancaster city is ruined !! looked nothing like that in the 80s when i was a kid ! TOTAL TRANSFORMATION ....I am very optimistic but realistic at the same time !
