I’m glad you made this video, it’s such a beautiful place. When I go to my father’s homeland, Greece, I’m going to visit Croatia, too, instead of just passing it by to go to Italy, as most tourists do. My Dad, who has traveled everywhere, did highly recommend Dubrovnik, I think the only place in Croatia that he saw.

I've never heard of this area of Croatia there are so many area's to stay in and explore, I'm going to Croatia in Spring and did research on where to stay. I wanna just relax take a few daytrips, eat good food so I decided to stay in Split, I read it's not to crowded when I'm going which was my main focus on where to stay. I'm a introvert big crowds overcrowding just ruin it for me, I've learned to travel off season for that reason and yes things are closed its colder maybe rain but crowds are low even popular destinations, I can't wait to go Croatia looks beautiful and so relaxing.

And when it comes to Zlarin- the most precious of gems. Its nature and beauty is simply amazing. And they are widely known for their corals. I love returning there. 🥰

I was in Split and Zadar in the summer and while we had a good time, I must say Sibenik sounds so much better than either of them. My experiences especially with food really don’t match yours… The best entertainment for us was definitely rafting which I highly recommend, especially on a really hot day!

OMG, thank you for this video. Being a Hungarian, I am lucky enough to visit Croatia a couples of times, but never been to Sibenik- now I really want to, as Krka is on our list for a while. They have some many amazing wineries Baraka is really one of the best. (We have discovered them two years ago in Split in a small fine dining restaurant) I just have ordered a couple bottles to home :). If you visit Budapest and need a professional guide do not hesitate to reach me to show you around ;).

Unfortunately, by supporting AirBnB, you are not traveling sustainably. By staying in airbnb you are supporting a practice that takes affordable housing for locals off the market. People have been forced out of their communities because housing has been purchased by people wanting to make a profit through airbnb.

@@kathysteele3071 Oh and once you're there, just walk around to see what you like and write down the names/addresses for the next time you visit. :) I've discovered some true jewels that way- the best dont need any advertusing as they have regular guests who book way in advance each year.

@@harmony1910 there are three aspects to sustainable travel - first is protecting the environment (reducing use of fossil fuels etc), second is protecting cultural heritage ( like ancient craft techniques, historical dances etc), and the third is supporting local communities (spending money with local artisans, reducing the number of tourists in a location, supporting small business and women-led business, etc). People living in busy cities like Barcelona, Amsterdam, New Orleans and Venice for example, are not able to afford buying or renting a home because the housing is bought by people wanting to make a profit by renting out airbnb. The housing becomes more expensive and so the locals can't afford to live there anymore. There is so much information and organizations invested in sustainable travel. For my clients who purchase their flight through me, I offset their carbon footprint.
