When in that line of country, I avoid the Tail of the Dragon on purpose, but that is beautiful scooter country. Need to check out the Diamondback now.

Hi Tremote,really enjoyed your video. Living in the U.K. I will probably never get to see these sights, so really enjoyable watching the rides as well as the useful information you give. Keep up the good work, all the best!

I love that area from Maggie Valley over to deals gap. Love the 28 from deals gap by Fontana lake. Also enjoy 19 or 441 to Bryson City. Spent three nights in Cherokee in Oct. Rode the blue Ridge some and 129 .

These things are always subject to personal opinion; 129 is, in mine, vastly overrated. If you like it, you can have it. Cherohala is a much better ride, 28 is really good, BRP fabulous (but can be slow). Missed Diamondback, have to get it next trip. Right close by it is NC80, "Devil's Whip"; went DOWN that not knowing what I was in for, very entertaining. Also NC209 from Hot Springs down to Lake Junaluska, great ride, as well as US441 across Smoky Mtn. Nat'l Park (especially the part with the loop in it!)

Nice recommendations. If I ever get East, I'll have to make one or two of these a bucket list. Have you been west? Black Hills, Beartooth pass, Rocky Mountain National Park, Million Dollar highway, etc?
@Tremonte7 жыл бұрын
I've been west, but not to ride. My wife isn't into motorcycles, so I probably won't be traveling by land through there... lol. She's all about flying in, flying out whenever we travel.

Aw shucks. There are a ton of great rides in the west.

Why does North Carolina get all the credit for the Dragon? Most of the road is in Tennessee, we we want some of the credit for it. LOL Those are all great roads and I have been close enough and lucky enough to ride them all multiple times.
