I am local BEST TIME FOR WINTER IS 20 DECEMBER TO 30 JAN SUMMER 1 JUNE TO 15 SEPTEMBER AND YOU CANNOT compare both seasons means both are beautiful. And I would recommend visit in summers and winters then only you can say you have visited Kashmir. Visiting only in one season is incomplete experience. @@DrBorn2conquer okay Good News is Weather is changing here like Yesterday was 10 degree. Kashmir is super safe believe me i have visited more then 15 states in India and to be honest i can say by heart Most safest place for female in india is Kashmir you will see urself that also. Now coming on Roads i would say in Winters there is some rules for Jammu to Srinagar like One day traffic will move from only jammu to Srinagar and another day Srinagar to Jammu. So make plan accordingly if you will tell me what to suggest i would say come by flight ya if you are adventures then come by Road. Hope this will help you...

But as you are aware airport taxi's or any other services from airport they charge you more if you will book from outside airport gate then its 2000 but inside airport they will even say 5000 but do remember maximum to maximam don't pay more then 2200 to 2400. And here in Srinagar Airport to Srinagar Airport Gate Distance is 1km not like Delhi there is no distance. Hope these information will help you out. Have a amazing journey Ahead. we bought from delhi while on our way to j&k. rented clothes are just good to play in snow... for cold like December you should carry a heavy waterproof jacket with you and thermal wears. jacket rent will.be around 100 rs per jacket

Waha rent par milte hai.. aur aap snow pe ghumne ke liye le sakte hai.. lekin hotel ke andar ya ek city se dusre city jate time pehen ne ke liye apke pas hone chaiye...jo kapde rent pe milte hai wo bahut comfortable nahi hote hai.. to agr thode bahut kapde aapke pas hote hai to achha hota hai
