As austrian I would pick Laimer or Schlager over Alaba even if he was healthy. They both play with more heart than Alaba, who often dodges international team matches, just to play for club days later. And also for many years he made our midfield worse by refusing to give up the midfield position, where he was below average at best.

As a Dutch person I dont think I fully agree with van Dijk. I honestly think Ake is incredibly underrated and might be the best player in our team. Frenkie de Jong and Dumfries are also names that could argue for the best players on the team. Vlahović literally has five goals in last three games, so that's a no go for Serbia. Also, Ukraine's Dovbyk has been TEARING it up in LaLiga for Girona, and is the reason the team is fighting for the trophy. Although Lewa has always been great, right now Milik could be in the conversation for being a more lethal weapon considering his form in Juve. Also puting Šik over the likes of Souček and Coufal is insane considering Šik hasn't done much in Leverkusen. Højlund is the most dangerous Danish player so that one is also a no good call.
