It's because the Hori controllers do not come with a battery inside them, unlike the joy cons and third party alternatives. You need it to be physically wired in for it to work properly.

That design is awesome. Potty they don't rumble or they would be perfect. Maybe the switch 2 would have similar looking joycons

Nintendo should take notes, if a switch 2 is released, the joy cons should be top of their list to completely remake and make them comfortable and for atleast 40%-50% larger than they currently are
