Bro groundtype doesn't count because giovanni from USUM is not the actual giovanni but from an alternative universe. i think the trainer with the greatest battlepower from the groundtypes is bertha she and rika are the only groundtype elite4 members. but rika is kinda mid, the groundtypes bertha uses are pretty scary. from hippowdon to gliscor and even nidoking which is giovannis strongest pokemon. also she got average stats of stunning 512.16

To be fair to Guzma, in USUM he also beats the elite 4 and challenges you. Plus he holds his own against Team Rainbow Rocket. He deserves the spot for best bug specialist.

Guzmas main barrier is attitude, not strength. if he had an ability it would be anger point. hes very strong but he loses his cool very quick. Also I don't think bugsy counts since his best pokemon is scizor (theres also an argument its his only good one) and scizor is a good pokemon despite being a bug type, not because of it.

For dragon types I feel like you at least had to mention Iris. Both gym leader and champion she actually defeats Adler instead of filling a power vacuum. She also teaches you Draco meteor, the strongest wide-distribution dragon move and lives in a town which specialises in dragon types (making her at least as knowledgeable as Lance about dragon types). I ultimately agree with the decision of choosing rahian but I think she was the better qualified trainer to go up against him.

I agree! currently raihan is slightly stronger but Iris probably has the greatest potential in the series, considering her age and special affinity with Pokemon

My personal head cannon is that raising Pokémon with different types is actually really hard because every type has their own specific needs met to function properly so that’s why usually the gym leaders and elite four specialize in one due to being the best users of the type in their regions. While the champion is the one who can handle the demand and responsibility of having a variety of types on their teams.

I feel he could be the best Flying trainer since hes an E4 member and unlike Kahili , Paldeas league is actually established I feel an argument could also be made for him being the best normal type trainer as hes an E4 level trainer while not even using his specialty , i feel lore wise hed be even strongest if he was allowed to actually use normal in his E4 battle

this is a really fun video and i enjoyed it! however i think it's worth mentioning that the ultra beast olivia held off was buzzwole. buzzwole boasts extreme physical bulk and physical prowess, and is a bug/fighting type. so it would take neutral hits from olivia's stab moves, but it would hit her super effectively back

15:40 I mean, without control, can one call it truly power? I take Sabrinas slightly less powerful but versatile abilities anyday over what Caitilin has, being shackled by her own powers. Sabrina even uses her psionics for special effects in movie roles in the Pokestar Studios. Shame that Olympias teams suck because as far as psychic powers go, she might even be stronger than both Sabrina and Caitlin from what little one saw of her in X and Y.

cool thing about mono type teams. They are so what good. I think a fake mono type team won a regional i think (there was a dark bear and not water bear.) The main thought behind it is most team have only one or two pokemon to cover a type. So if you can somehow take out that one pokemon. The rest of their team will have problems with your team.

Incredible well made video but I strongly disagree about Guzma, in USUM he beats the Elite Four and fights rainbow rocket, but besides that he has many Trophies for various tournaments in his home and since there was no league in the region I believe this was from places outside Alola, and he didn't fail into becoming a trial captain because he was weak, but because he wasn't accepted by the Tapus, possibly because he was close to a Kahuna stuck down by them. In fact the way I see it he was too strong for traditional Alola, and I feel like Kukui's desire of having an actual Pokemon League is related to people like Guzma and himself.

Norman as the normal type champion makes sense. If we go by Adventures Manga logic, he's the strongest trainer in all of Hoenn by a mile. As for the Steel type, I disagree with that argument and Steven should be the representative over Colress, it should have been decided with the numbers.

The galar gym leaders are much stronger than all other regions Bea and Raihan are champion level trainers and the rest elite four ash didn't lose to bea that often because of plot armor but because bea is a super strong trainer

You bring up Dragon types and don’t once mention Zinnia or Iris? Raihan is still better but you could at least talk about them Edit: Also you’re forgetting Maxie for ground types. Maybe it’s just me but I feel like he could defeat Giovanni, and if he doesn’t have at least 5, his Groudon more than makes up for it. Edit: You’re also forgetting Archie for water types. Same for Maxie, if he doesn’t have at least 5, his Kyogre more than makes up for it.

It's really argueble to Maxie and Archie even stand for Ground-type and Water-type especialists, since Maxie only has Camerupt and Groudon and Archie only has Sharpedo and Kyogre of those types. If you ask me, to be considered a type especialist you gotta have at least 3 out of 6 Pokémon of that type.

There was never a bar against anyone being on this list. The bare minimum requirement for this list was having a party size of at least 5 pokemon. The other being them specializing in 1 particular type, like how Giovanni uses Ground type pokemon, or Lance using Dragon type pokemon. Lance didn't even get on the list anyway, since Raihan has more evidence to backup his being stronger. Mustard never had to be a gym leader to be on this list, he just had to have notable exploits and lore that would help with ranking. Frontier Brains aren't on this list because we know next to nothing about how strong they actually are, not to mention none of them are tied to one specific pokemon type.

The rest of the video i believe was good. the ending was a bit rushed compared to earlier segments, but there wasn't really much competition on it anyways.. but... I'm kind of disappointed in your riding Raihan so hard you forgot literally most of the dragon type masters in the series. The dragon type ranking is based almost entirely on your opinion and word of mouth in the game. Anyone can claim to be whatever they want to be, doesn't make them any more or less correct. Strictly fact based, Raihan has the worst "best" team out of every dragon type master in the series. except Drasna. X and Y just screwed up a lot. Discrediting Drasna almost entirely because of Game Freaks bad choices with gen 6. Hope Kalos trainers get redemption in the future with something similar to B2W2 world Tournament. Cause they all just flat out suck. Anyways... Raihan's best team: Torkoal, Goodra, Turtonator, Flygon, Duralodon. So the only Dragon Type Master that doesn't even have a canonical full team in game so far.... he has a 522 BST average. Slotting in Gigalyth or Sandaconda for the last slot would just drop his BST even more even though he'd have a full team. Drakes best Team from ORAS Rematch: Altaria, Dragalge, Kingdra, Flygon, Haxorus and Salamence. Average BST of 530.667 Drayden's best team from the World Tournament: Haxorus, Druddigon, Hydreigon, Flygon, Altaria, Salamence. Average BST of 539.1667 Next being Clair's best team from the World Tournament: Kingdra, Dragonite, Altaria, Salamence, Druddigon, Garchomp. Average BST of 560.82 Now Iris's Rematch Challenger team: Hydreigon, Salamence, Archeops, Aggron, Lapras, Haxorus. Average BST of 562. Last Being Lance's World Tournament Team: Dragonite, Salamence, Kingdra, Hydreigon, Haxorus, Flygon. Average BST of 566.667 And on top of that, he's known to also own a Garchomp from his HGSS Rematch team. So swap that in for Flygon(lowest BST on the team), and you got an Average BST of 580. All of them have stronger teams than Raihan has shown, with the last 3 being vastly stronger than Raihan.. Maybe he can take the title in future games where he appears in and actually have a decent team, but Raihan's team is honestly complete garbage for a dragon master, and we have nothing shown in the games, not even the anime, that proves his team is anything else except that. And hell, just for the fun of it, lets add in Ryuki, the dragon type trainer that challenges your championship in Alola, since you mentioned those challengers later in the video as well... maybe he'll have a chance against the only other one listed with only 5 pokemon? His team is: Garchomp, Drampa, Turtonator, Dragonite, Kommo-o. Average BST of 554. He dwarfs Raihan as well. Okay, so maybe he can do better than Zinnia, she's only got 5 pokemon as well, right? Goodra, Tyrantrum, Altaria, Noivern, Salamence. Average BST of 549.2. Well damn. He's literally the worst Dragon trainer besides Drasna that has any sort of significance in the plot of Pokemon. Raihan's only claim to fame is that it's claimed he could challenge any other league for their championship. But he has never done that. there is no real proof that he can do so. it's all hearsay, and from a region that's turned Pokemon Battling into basically their religion, it's more than likely a popularity stunt pulled. Iris and Lance are pretty much interchangeable for who the best Dragon Type trainer really is. Leans more towards Iris though in my opinion due to her covering weaknesses with Lapras and Aggron. And he drops even further with Scarlet and Violet(which i know you said wasn't taken account for) with Hassel Noivern, Haxorus, Dragalge, Flapple, Dragonite, Baxcalibur. Average BST of 542.33 The rest of the video was put together quite well, and used factual evidence for the majority of it. but damn you chose to stan Raihan.
