Actually it does kind of make sense that the hiker is a bit bigger. One strategy for hiking is too carbload so you can go for longer. Plus it depends on where they are hiking too because if they hike too colder climates then they need that extra layer of fat to help keep them warmer.

For sunflora, I highly suspect that it’s a nod to Van Gogh’s Sunflower, which is an incredible well known piece inside and outside the art world. Sigils and ruins can also be seen as a form of written art, like calligraphy. The rest I can’t really explain

I love how in ORAS in Rustboro there’s an Ace Trainer that gives you a Float Stone and is subsequently replaced with a Hiker. His dialogue is what makes the scene so hilarious “For some reason I’ve put on a lot of weight recently.” That just cracks me up. Here's a video suggestion: Rotom has lately become a sort of utility Pokemon, one that you don't own but that assists you on your journey. There's also the Ride Pokemon in Alola, but they only serve that role in the Alola games. Now, Klefki could also serve this role by holding on to your keys for you and then inserting them into places upon request. So what other Pokemon do you think could serve this Utility role? Here's one criteria to consider: the Pokemon has to want to serve this role (for ethical concerns). Rotom loves taking over electrical appliances, so it'll gladly serve as your living Pokedex. Klefki loves collecting keys and will gladly stick around so that it can collect more and then use them as a form of play.

I love Fire-red and Leafgreen! To hear their are exclusive trainer classes in my favorite pokemon games is awesome! (Side note> crush-girl & painter classes give out ALOT of $ in Fire-red/Leafgreen, specially when Amulet coin is in effect. Maybe that's a super small part of why they are in only 1 set of games?)

I would assume with CRUSH GIRL and PAINTER class were for the post game stuff, mainly the Sevii Islands and that area was more modern that Kanto. Modern as in the game mechanics, Pokémon, and of course the trainers. Basically modern classes for Kanto.
