I just picked up the Ryobi 1 Gallon wet/dry vac. Picked it up for $45! Love it! I read in the manual that you can remove the filter for wet applications and replace it for dry applications.

The 1 gallon is on sale at Home Depot for 49 bucks for Black Friday. It's a solid little vacuum for small cleanups. My biggest gripe with it is the hose is only like 3 feet long. If you are trying to clean up an area on the floor you have to bend down. I'm looking on Amazon and the cheapest 10 foot hose is 19.99 and have to find one that is a smaller diameter to fit this vacuum or find some type of conversion attachment. As you note, battery life is short like 15 minutes tops so the 1 gallon is not going to be good for large cleanups.
@CarsWithKeav2 ай бұрын
Ryobi just came out with an adapter for any of their hoses. Battery life depends on the battery you use. Run a 6AH or 8AH battery and it will last much longer of course that adds weight and makes it harder to hold the handle. www.homedepot.com/pep/RYOBI-Universal-Fit-Wet-Dry-Vaccum-Adapter-A32AD01/327055286?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&pla&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25P-025_009_PORTABLE_POWER-NA-Multi-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-PortPower_NEW_LIA_TEST&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25P-025_009_PORTABLE_POWER-NA-Multi-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-PortPower_NEW_LIA_TEST-21724535954--&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAi_G5BhDXARIsAN5SX7ojlKhgQE71NES5YrNqlPUY7svF3KtXQwps0O-L-ZUE_3vd4juDpYgaAn7VEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

@11:24 I don't think you're supposed to use that filter for wet vacuuming, on the manual it says "The wet/dry vac is shipped ready for dry use vacuuming. To equip the wet/dry vac for wet use, remove the dry use filter."
@CarsWithKeav3 ай бұрын
The ones I have in these are washable filters so getting wet is no problem. A foam filter over top is suggested to help with dirt in the water. The only thing is to make sure the filter is cleaned and dried before using it again for dry pickup. It won’t harden like paper filters will after getting wet

Do you recommend a 4ah or 4ah hp battery for the 1 gallon, or actually hp or non hp?
@CarsWithKeavАй бұрын
HP batteries can bring out a little more performance and might last a bit longer. I prefer to use them when I have them charged up. Most of my batteries are the normal ones so I work with what I have. If you don’t mind paying extra the HP batteries are worth it and for sure a 4AH on this will work way better than a 2AH

Would the 3 gallon work well with a kit to do extraction do you think? How does this stack up to the rigid 4 gallon that so many detailers seem to love? I dont want to lug around a generator!😂
@CarsWithKeav9 ай бұрын
The 3 gallon works well have not used an extractor to know. I have the 4 gallon Pro Pack and it is more powerful. Anything plugged in normally would be.
@MiketheMike2389 ай бұрын
How do you feel these stack up against the similar rigid model?
@CarsWithKeav9 ай бұрын
@@MiketheMike238 Rigid is better to me as a shop vac just the cord being in the way is the problem. I like the 1 gallon the best just for its size and portability. I would prefer a corded Rigid over the 3 gallon.

How’s the noise levels? I had the old one and it literally hurt my ears. I got rid of it because of that and went for the Milwaukee Fuel Packout instead. A much quieter and better built machine.
@CarsWithKeav Жыл бұрын
The 3 gallon has a much higher pitch and it would get annoying over time. The one gallon one is very tolerable though.
@hgodtx8 ай бұрын
Can anyone explain the foam cover accessory? Do you remove the filter and install the foam? I currently have a Rigid wet/dry vac but want to purchase one of these to be able to quick grab for wet cleanups.
@CarsWithKeav8 ай бұрын
Mine didn’t come with them, but they are usually for using with wet cleanups you would put over the current filter as it is built for wet and dry. Just makes cleanup easier with very dirty water. Some shop vacs filter is only for dry cleanup so that filter is removed and the foam one Installed for wet pickups.

Are there any adapters for larger hoses?
@CarsWithKeav5 ай бұрын
I know Ryobi makes this one that adapts most fo their hoses to work with each other. www.ryobitools.com/products/details/33287208678?srsltid=AfmBOoquwpmwfpHCQF7d-WXwexgpRk_WvKvOJwP7pezBPgxIKiCt74-4#

It states on Ryobi website manuals that it doesnt support 9ah battery? Are you able to confirm if this is true.

I do not have any batteries above a 6ah to be able to test that. Not sure how that is if it fits. Voltage isn’t changing just battery capacity. That is weird.

@@CarsWithKeav So you think it could be just a size thing?

@@CarsWithKeav @TheOnlyTexasNinja is correct. A crevice (/krev-es/ a narrow opening caused by a split or crack) is something you vacuum. A crevasse (/kre'vas/ a deep open crack, especially one in a glacier) is something you don't want to fall into.
