I have an Auertech portable twin tub washing machine (18 lb capacity with 8 lb spin capacity). It is very similar to the Costway twin tub. Auertech has an automatic drain pump so it is not gravity dependent which makes it more convenient. It has a timer and shuts off the spinner automatically (some models do not have this). I have only had it for two months and for two people in my household we average 3 very small loads per week (I do my laundry once per week all three loads same day). So far I LOVE it! Yes it is a little more work as there is some manual labor involved but it goes fast and I am always doing something during laundry time so I am never bored or waiting around. I bought a separate Panda spin dryer which is far more powerful and much larger capacity. I have some items I hand wash in a bucket such as whites and some sheets and towels where I want to use bleach and hot water. Everything else goes in my twin tub using cold water. I can bypass the twin tub for handwashing, rinsing and spin drying some items in the Panda spinner and this is a back up in case something goes wrong with the twin tub. I also utilize the twin tub to rinse the hand washed items and I use the small spin dryer on the twin tub to rinse and spin washed items before rinsing them in the wash tub part. I spin dry smaller items (underwear, socks) in the small twin tub spin dryer, and everything else I spin dry in my Panda spin dryer. I can usually get 2-3 small loads all in one Panda spin dryer run once I take out the very small items to spin dry in the small spin dryer on the twin tub. Likes: being able to do laundry at home; how incredibly clean, vibrant and fresh this machine gets my clothes, towels and sheets compared to commercial washers at the laundromat, being able to control the amount of water and soap I use, and both spin dryers get about 90-95% of water out so I only have to hang everything on drying racks for a a few hours or overnight and it's done and dry without the heat damage, shrinkage, loss of color that a dryer causes over time. When I would bring wet clothes home from washing machine at laundromat to dry on racks, it took way longer because the spinners built in to larger washing machines are not as powerful. Also, this machine is so light I can carry it anywhere including up and down stairs to my basement. dislikes: twin tubs have an agitator system, and while this tends to be more powerful than an impeller system, it also causes clothes to tangle so I do spend some time during wash and rinse cycles moving clothes around and untangling. It also means I do smaller loads at a time even though my twin tub boosts an 18 lb capacity. In realty I am not comfortable with more than say a 10 lb capacity in there at once. And the manufacturer says not to fill the machine more than 15" high with water at a time. This machine will not handle blankets larger than a small thin throw blanket, and will not handle coats, jackets etc (we make a laundromat run once every 6-8 weeks for those). I have almost no other complaints except because these machines are small and cheap, the warranty on them is short and there is not the same repair service offered, so if something should go wrong I would have to fix it myself somehow or just buy another one. This means you need to baby this machine more and be very strict with following directions. Research and read others suggestions and so on. Do NOT overload them or use too much water. Do not use hot water in a twin tub. Do not repeatedly use the machine over and over in a single day or you will wear out the motor faster. Be gentle with the drain hose as it is flimsy. Make sure you keep this machine on stable flat surface or in a large enough bathtub or shower.

I have a twin tube spin washer and I can't believe it. For me it has put the fun back into doing laundry. And it has made my washing expenses less since the spin dryer on mine gets so much water that I really don't need to dry them. They can dry on their own.

The Wonder Wash is garbage. I had one and it fell apart within 4 months of getting it. I couldn’t get anyone from customer service to contact me or send a replacement. Don’t waste your money.
