Hi Justin and thank you for your comment. Well the decision can be concluded in 3 factors: if you carry the spare device with yourself, it may be more convenient to use it as a WiFi hotspot instead of carrying an additional device, secondly the battery will drain much faster in your spare device and you may need to charge your spare phone multiple times while the portable wifi hotspot will last much longer, and the last is the network coverage, that portable wifi hotspot devices support multiple network bands and better network coverage.

Hi and thank you for your comment 🙏🏻 when you buy a sim card, from your sim card provider, you should have received some documents (letter) in which your pin is written. The PIN of SIM is something independent from this Portable WiFi.

​@@rachelrodgers9171Netgear M1 4G lite is the more premium device as it serves as both WiFi hotspot and router in one. But it is expensive. I use the M1 4G lite version when it was £300+ in 2020. Pretty sure it's way cheaper nowadays via Amazon. Don't bother with ridiculous M1 pro 5G.

Hi and thank you for your comment. Beside the reasons I mentioned in the video, there can be other reasons why using this. Here there are sim cards with unlimited Internet or prepaid one only as data sim card giving you only internet access which are cheaper than other normal sim cards, and in this case it is also a good option.

Which one would you recommend? TP-Link M7350-4G or the ZTE MF971RS2? ZTE has 300mbits download wile the TP has 150 mbits. Both are at the same price.

Have you checked all the available networks shown on you iphone (settings > WiFi >Other Networks ). if it is on and doesn't show the network then maybe you should call the customer service as something may be wrong with the device. Usually you have 14 days to send back the device without mentioning any reason.
