Because we had lost TWO fixtures against Bury, we had a game in hand over a number of teams in the playoffs. Because there was only a point or two between us, the maths worked very much in our favour. You might call it unearned fortune; I'd call it an unexpected bonus for earlier endeavour.

By Jason's logic, Man Utd's last min goals down the years, mean that Sir Alex was luckiest manager in history (along with academy he got given) & didn't deserve the PL/CL. Liverpool were SUPER LUCKY to win the CL last year, with ridiculous 1st min sending off of SIsoko for Spurs, and fact that Spurs dominated the game. Man City were "lucky" with that last second ball falling to "Aguerooooooo" for that famous goal & the list goes on. Like any success, you gotta be in it to win it - put yourself in a decent position, work hard, and hope you'll catch a break. Congrats to Wycombe.
