BEST Potting Mix For Orchid - SIMPLE but HIGHLY Effective!

What's the best potting mix for Orchid? Here in this video, I have shared simple way to prepare the potting mix for Orchids. There is no need to make it complex. We can prepare the soil mix easily. You may have to collect few items and all of them are readily available online. Good luck in growing Orchids.

Coco Chip - Didn't buy it online as mentioned in the video. But, this looks good - amzn.to/3xFw9TO (Recommended only for Orchids. For Succulents, you may have to make the chunks smaller) Better to buy Coconuts from local market. Unhusk it, eat the Coconut and use the Husk for your Orchids. Save some money and fill your body with minerals and nutrients..he he..)
IMP NOTES -
NO 1. The Sphagnum Moss is not the Pure one but it's okay and can be used. As I am using other components in potting mix, this is not a big deal. At the time of buying, I couldn't find better product than this and so decided to go ahead with it. It has some dust..but not like how someone has reviewed it. That's why, cleaning is important.
NO 2. I bought the Pine Bark from KOLKATA ORCHID ONLINE. Right now, it's not available and so added another good alternative.

No need to wait for more times except for Coconut Husk..just needed to be cleaned so that there is no any dust. For Coconut Husk - Please soak them in water at least for 5-7 or more days before using. Thank you!

Can I grow orchids in Delhi? What will happen to them in summers?

Summer temp is really high..n so not 100% sure. But still, you can try looking for Orchids in nearby nursery. If they are selling, means you would be able to grow them as well. Good luck :-) I don't have lots of them as very costly..ha ha..this year I am going to propagate and make more :-)

LECA is an acronym that stands for lightweight expanded clay aggregate. It is made up of little balls of clay-a growing medium that retain moisture but make potting mix extremely well drained and aerated which Orchid needs. Thank you!

What to do...Orchids are costly plants :-( 2-3 K for material is not needed..You can buy less quantity if available. And, Lecca can be easily replaced with Wood Charcoal. Good luck!
