Hi Jason, I just found your channel (unfortunately, after Cyber Monday). I have a 4 year old HP ENVY general use desktop. It runs Windows 10 and the motherboard is not capable of upgrading to a processor that will run Windows 11. I could wait until next September to look for a new PC, but I'm concerned that prices will jump up if/when the new administration enacts tariffs on imported products. Although I currently don't play any games, computer, Xbox, Playstation, etc, I just retired this week and will now have to fill my day with things to do. Gaming may be one of those things? That being the case, since I need to get a new computer before the prices go up, I thought I would buy one that would be able to play games should I decide to get into that. I watched your video and found it to be very helpful. I looked in your description and see that you have given one of the PC's which was not mentioned in the video 2-flames. I think the PC you did mention (Ruby) is sold out everywhere, that is probably why you updated the list. I have put the CyberPower Ryzen 7700 / RX 7900 GRE 16GB (Faster than 4070 Super) / 32GB / 240mm AIO in my cart. This is a little above what I planned to spend, but it seems like you feel it is a good PC for the money, so I think this is the one I'll get unless you have found a better one for the same money since this posting. I WILL be coming back to your channel frequently to check out what new information and products you are sharing. I don't like to subscribe to channels because I can't stand getting notifications. Thank you for doing what you do !!

All my PCs in last 25 years were prebuilt. Yesterday I built one myself and it was great experience. It's actually only stage 1 with bare minimum, currenly running Ryzen 7600 with stock cooler and integrated graphics, so it's just to use it casually, but eventually 9800x3D goes in, AIO cooling, dedicated GPU and we'll be talking serious gaming. Can't wait.

The only issue I had with Skytech is their RAM. It says 32gb of RAM but the CL speed is not typically top of the line. I bought one 2 years ago and found out the ram (16gb) was very basic and rather than 3200mhz, it was 2444mhz. Did it work for the PC, yes, but it was not what most would have expected. I had to upgrade it to 32gb, 3200mhz, CL16 ram in order for my gaming to actually be stable enough to run. They also tend to skimp on the SSD/NVME quality as well. My only recommendation would be to try and leave a little space for quick upgrades to RAM or NVME. Otherwise, I would say Skytech is a reliable company that will provide somewhat decent prebuilds.

@edwin46252 ай бұрын
To those considering pre-builts versus building one yourself, I support your choice, but you have to watch Jason from PC Builder to get the most out of your money. He knows these parts like the back of his hand and talks about them often enough in his videos to have each one memorized. He’ll provide value for your dollar every time-I promise you. I copied his 5950X build from one of his older videos a few years ago, and I’m still using it as I type this comment. He knows his stuff.
@GRIGGINS12 ай бұрын
You get better deals buying directly from the Manufacture than from New Egg or Amazon. And you get better parts.
@edwin46252 ай бұрын
@GRIGGINS1 I think you missed the point of my comment. Basically, I was saying that Jason knows these PC parts really well because he makes videos about them over and over again. He’s memorized the performance of each component and also remembers their prices. This allows him to analyze the specs of pre-built PCs and tell his audience-especially those who don’t want to build their own PCs-which ones provide the best value for their money. Jason has this knowledge because he’s memorized the power and price of nearly every PC component as part of his job.

I'm Team Red, and going with a 7900 XT. 😁 I would say they are more performance for your money if you don't care too much about ray-tracing, and at least for more tight budgets I would go with them over Nvidia anyway.

This is I'm sure a stupid question for you guys. But, im really new when it comes to pc gaming.. Would a 1080P be better than a ps5 console? Im considering getting into pc gaming and currently I'm playing on a ps5 and i obviously want an upgrade. I'd like to go 4K if not too expensive.
@PCBuilderChannelАй бұрын
Not a stupid question. The gaming experience on PS5 vs PC is very different so that's your first choice. Then of course a pc can do a lot more than a PS5. A 4k gaming pc is going to be way more powerful than a PS5 though PS5 can also do 4k. You might want to check out our Best 4k Gaming Monitor video to get a sense of what system will get you what kind of fps

TF2 is consistent 360fps at high settings even during intense MVM or casual lobbies. I only do the Precision Boost Overdrive and the hottest my pc will get is around 68-70° if I’m in a full intense lobby of HLL. My monitor is the AW2725DF 27in 360hz QD-OLED
