Kudos to you for not giving up! I also agree it is valuable to show your progress through solving the problem. It led to the comment about the diesel heater tubing. No telling how many people you've helped! Kir (and Ron)

Thanks - gonna try this. Run my 3500 in the truck bed near the tailgate when camping. I need a way to get the exhaust out of the bed, especially when raining. I'll kind of tuck the genny back under the tonneau cover but the exhaust just heats up the bed. This could work to route the exhaust out and away. Looks like it would be easy to hook up/disconnect when not needed. Predator 3500 has been a great for my use. Like the way you have it set up on your rig. We have a Keystone Passport 23RB. A little smaller but cozy for me and the missus! Subbed!

Thank you so much for help, this is a great video and perfect solution to venting the generator exhaust!

It’s definitely the best thing I’ve found and lasted the longest without issues so far. Still be mindful of carbon monoxide as I don’t think this removes all risks but I wanted to be as careful as I could.

Thanks for the video! As for the exhaust clamp, is that necessary? Can i just use the other hose clamps that you just tighten with the screen?
@GimpyCamper Жыл бұрын
The metal on the exhaust is pretty thin and that’s probably possible but I didn’t have luck with my original flex pipe working that way but it was a lot thicker and more rigid

I’ve used this about 100 hours and it’s held up much better than my previous versions of exhaust. Hasn’t came loose a single time

Just found your video. I have an 8750 Inverter Generator. I am looking to fix this inside my garage and was looking for a solution. I understand the problems a rigid exhaust would have on the muffler. I was considering high temp silicone tubing. How is your system, 4 months later?
@GimpyCamper2 жыл бұрын
I’ve used this a lot in the last couple months with zero issues.

hey MrRchitty, did you do this with the 8750? I have an 8750 so any tips are appreciated!
@MrRChitty Жыл бұрын
@@firstcoastfoamparty5031 Not yet. Still pondering the idea.
I would not trust it 100% for carbon monoxide as some people say that if you completely plug the exhaust it still runs, but I run it outside with a fan. I do not have sealant but a little red rtv silicone wouldn’t be a bad idea, but it’s a pretty tight fit to start with

@@Candy_MountainNot saying that your machine is needing tuned, but if your exhaust is carboning, you might run some Seafoam fuel system cleaner thru it. Any parts store should have it. Running it thru system every 3-6 months helps keep the fuel injection right. You may only need to clean the sponge air filter with some gasoline and replace spark plug. The Trinity in 4 stroke combustion engine is " Good Air, Fuel & Spark ". Hope this helps you. 👍
