The Kärcher K2 (Unused) and the K5.8 Eco (used once or twice) are going to my sister F. of C. Kärcher need to upgrade their products or lose-out to better quality and reliability. I already have the top two snow-foam attachments and the lance is a tad heavy. AVA are leading the way with ideas and products, long may it continue. It's versatile and very powerful making short work of the car, caravan and patio! It feels well built too. The only two small niggles is the cable reel does feel flimsy and the float switches in the pump aren't that sensitive as it sometimes doesn't start back up after a short period of not been used (turning it off and on again at the switch usually sorts this problem). Been DYING to get the P80, personally ticks all my boxes! Apart from the blowing fuse issue, so I personally contacted AVA and they gave me a LOT of information, so long story cut short, they explained that the fuse blowing problem was caused by extension cables or the initial start up causing a overload on the motor. They have since made a modified version which helps "significantly" but they said they're still not happy with it and that they are going back to testing etc... starting now in Feb 2023 and should have fixed/revised the issue by Summer 2023 and will be for resale again in UK

I really don't see how this is going to replace or compete with a Kranzle at all tbh. Sure stuff may not fall out of the storage compartments in the van but what good does that do me if it's falling over at all and happens to break? There's a nice warranty there you say? Great. That's not going to help me when I have jobs to get done that day, especially with a bunch of what seems to be proprietary accessories (all wrapped up in an overly engineered body which again means I can't service it myself and get rolling to my next job). The reason a Kranzle is so nice for mobile detailing is because it's simple and straightforward and cuts through the BS. It's an open design I can service myself and keep rolling if something breaks, it's designed in a way that I can easily attach it to the rack in the truck/van, I'm not tied into using what Kranzle tells me I have to use or anything like a built in hose reel because I can use whatever hose reel and hose I prefer and again mount it to the rack which isn't falling over in the van unless the van has fallen over as well, it has a nice beefy pump with adequate psi but more importantly lots of flow and I'm also able to tweak the parameters a bit in whichever direction I choose because I have the option of using different nozzles with a different sized orifice. This unit in the video just seems to be in a completely different arena and is more suited to someone without any existing equipment or accessories and wants one for the home mostly. And just because I know someone will say that price is a factor with the Kranzle, that's fine. Nobody ever said anything about pricing or bang for your buck. We're just talking about functionality and use for a detailer. It's also worth noting that the Kranzle is just the one at the top of the mountain, but there are still several units made by other companies for less money and the same points still apply. I believe Comet, AR Blue, and others all have at least an offering or two that's serviceable and able to keep you working on those days when shit goes bad. They won't have as much flow and/or PSI as the Kranzle but they're in the same ballpark.
@epicautomotivedetailing2 жыл бұрын
Hello, Sorry I just want to clarify that in this video i did not claim in any sentence that this is better or will ever compete with a kranzle. I question it because curiosity will always drive human behaviour. I have a Kranzle coming to the channel soon. In fact i have quite a few so I have to balance out equipment for traders and weekend warriors. Ive got few karcher commercial machines too so my videos get uploaded around how the market is going at the time so come spring when businesses start growing with better weather ill be all over the commercial equipment :)

@@epicautomotivedetailing No worries at all, and I definitely didn't mean any disrespect with my thoughts on the matter at all, and certainly not anything negative towards the video itself. I also didn't say that you said that in the video to be fair, and I don't think you said anything inaccurate or misleading. I actually really really liked the video and presentation. I'm just more or less saying that I don't really see the competition and I'd place this unit in a different product segment all together for the reasons I mentioned. Honestly if anything I would say you may be kneecapping yourself a bit by asking the question, as opposed to asking if it's the ultimatre starter unit. Glad you are impressed so far, I think they are good machines. Never likely to be a Kranzle killer as Ava only make for domestic use, trade use is not intended. Ava recommend a fixed 40 degree nozzle for car cleaning which does work well, although the wide nozel on the variable does make light work of rinsing. The 90 degree accessory lance is awesome for sills and wheel arches, give it a go. But hang on when you do, you've been warned!

The only negative about this video is sir, please stop looking into the nozzles while the machine is on even you don't pull the trigger. Your mind can trick you one in a million chance. Once, I was using a grinder. I was wearing heavy duty gloves and goggles. After I used it, I stopped it and placed it on the workbench, then somehow suddenly without needing to, I reached out involuntarily to the still spinning, winding down, disc and got my finger cut through the glove. Since then, I have been paying extra respect to power tools.

Hey great video! I'm in debate about buying either the nilfisk p180/200 or the ava evo p80 but I'm worried about this whole fuse blowing situation in the UK. I've heard if you hold the trigger in before starting it, this usually does the trick. Don't suppose you would be able to confirm whether they have fixed the fuse issue and whether this trick does prevent the fuse from going? Lastly, if it wasn't for the AVA blowing fuses, would you recommend it over the nilfisk p180or p200? Thanks!
@epicautomotivedetailing2 жыл бұрын
