Well done bro. I picked up this same model last summer. The pump is aggravating, loses pressure for no apparent reason. The rest of the unit is decent in my opinion. May upgrade to a little better pump.

One other person told me they had a pump issue as well. They used it pretty often so who knows if it was just natural wear. Like anything else nothing seems to be built to last anymore.

I am learning about power washing and today I just saw a video on nozzles and it mentioned that the one of the most common cause of loss of pressure or PSI is nozzle degradation, as they are made of plastic, which occurs after being used for a year, as the hole gets larger after so much pressure going thru, resulting on pressure drop, lowering the PSI from the original number when nozzle was brand new. So if your nozzle was originally a 4.0 hole, and keeping a 1500 PSI, after a year, hole is now 5.0 - 5.5 or larger which can only produce 800 - 1000 PSI or less which is a huge difference. They recommend getting new nozzle, same color and hole size and test it. Hole size is the key to keep the desired pressure or PSI and then buy a new nozzle every year. I hope it helps.

Dont let that bleach sit that long if it's in the sun....also clean from bottom up so you can see where you need to wash. If you start at the top you rinse away all the cleaning solution and have a hard time seeing where you have to hit . After all that do a final rinse from TOP down......nice video

The unit does not have a soap tank. You can either have a bucket or bottle of bleach and you put the pickup tube into one of those

Depends on use. Basic home stuff it’ll be fine. The Honda motor is the big plus. You can also find More reviews online as well. As with most things unless you’re paying big bucks it’s going to have some downfalls

I made a mis😢and bought the Simpson with the Koehler engine. Nothing but trouble, going to the shop tomorrow for repairs. I borrow my neighbors with the Honda motor and it starts right up.

No adjustable knob that I have seen. I’ve used it a few times already for extended periods. no issues, bucking or pressure loss. They built a good product.

It's not adjustable on the pump, but Simpson sells a Dial-N-Wash pressure regulator that fits between the gun and the wand (no. 82232) that goes down to 1400 PSI.

It’s not for commercial use but you can try. The Honda engine is solid with a good pump. Can it do 15hrs a week continuously, I guess you would have to see. A couple hours a day should be ok. If it’s running an 8 hour day often, then maybe not.

One of the things I've learned from all my small engines is that they only like ethenol-free gas. I've always had issues starting lawn mowers, weed wackers, with regular gas. Once I switched to ethanol free. I've never experienced starting issues again.

Ive had zero issues with using basiv 87 grade fuel on my stihl trimmers. Blowers, exmark 30" mower or lawnboy mower. I use them everyday 10 hr work shifts.

Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.

hey! just got this same exact pressure washer today! i put oil and the gas in it, had the choke out but when i first started it i forgot to put the choke back in, so that made my pressure washer automatically shut off. I tried it with the choke not pulled out then it started .... and i pulled it back out and back in but it started to be super loud and smoke came out.. im curious if this is normal or if i did something wrong.. please get back to me

The initial start was Smokey with mine as well as everything is new and getting broken in. Once it starts no more choke also when it’s warm and has been running you should be able to restart it without choking . As long as you have enough oil you should be fine.

@@mikeykim2119 it always depends on hours of use. I change my pressure washer oil every two years. I probably only use it maybe 10 times a year. Bleach is obviously the best for mold and mildew, but they do make “green” pressure wash solution you can get at Lowe’s or Home Depot. You’d be surprised the pressure is Washer can cut through a lot without any solution.

I got a Simoniz 3000 PSI 7 HP Gas Pressure Washer, they up grated the pump and now it puts out 3400 PSI. Is there a way to tell what it's putting out??? He even bought a 3400 psi house and gun. Older units had the GX190 but a shittier pump by OEM Technologies. Not sure the difference between the GC and GX are worth price difference but a better pump would be fo sho.

Awesome brother! I am ordering the same model this evening as my home sidings need some love (yeap, they are dirty...). One question, what is the size of the nozzles holes that came with. As I have been learning about power washing (to make sure I don't destroy stuff and made my queen really mad), it appears that an easy way to control the PSI that comes out is by getting nozzles with different holes, the smaller the hole, the higher the PSI that comes out and viceversa. Based on my table mixed with all kinds of numbers, the most common hole nozzle sizes to clean from cars to wooden fence is 3.0, 3.5 & 4.0, for cars is recommended to use a 5.0 -4.5 hole size to lower the 3200 PSI down to 1200 to 1000 which is also very soft for the windows and using the 40°(white nozzle)-65°(black nozzle). Great video. Once I get my pressure washer, I am also doing some dancing, of course with the garage door closed as I don't want my neighborhood teenagers taking a video and loaded in KZbin.😆

In my experience over the years with multiple layers of wallpaper, it’s quicker to rip the drywall down and rehang and finish new boards as opposed to scrape and scrape wallpaper many times you ruin the drywall in that process anyways

This unit does not have a tank for soap.makes it awkward when moving the unit. Youfid not mention of the pump is brass. These low end units have cheap axial pumps that are junk in no time

It unfortunately does not have a soap reservoir as it’s not for professional use. I stated it’s residential homeowner use but can be used to more of that capacity. It’s only a $400 unit so a lot of those features and higher end pumps won’t be found in this line. There’s tons of commercial grade washers out there that will fit your needs. And like Most tools and equipment , they all have some flaws.

Great review, thanks! One of the real advantages of a pressure washer like this is the horizontal shaft from the engine to the pump vs the vertica shaft machines. Positioning that sweet Honda engine this way allows for that horizontal shaft. The horizontal shaft in turn keeps all those fragile hose fitting/pump outlet fixtures up and away from the bottom of the machine where they can get damaged or worse broken off. This would be the machine I would buy if I could afford it....

@@IllGetMyTools It is very hard to find a decent low price unit . The pressure specs are usually unattainable The axial pumps are often aluminum. Cannot be serviced Sometimes only last 200 hours. Some of the hoses are not reinforced . I could go on Many of the piston pump units are great but priced over $600 Lots of complaints on simpson units Hard to get service The inlet and outlet is sometimes so close to heat you can burn your hand. Some of the mfrs. state that the unit should not run over 30 minutes.
