I have the Dewalt 2100 PSI 1.2 GPM Pressure Washer. I use it to clean the vinyl fence and to clean concrete also to wash the car. I put a pressure gauge on my unit to check the PSI. With the white spray nozzle I typically see pressure readings of 1400 PSI. I use the white spray nozzle for cleaning the fence and it does a great job. The Yellow spray nozzle I use to clean concrete and typically I see pressure readings of 1700 PSI. The Yellow spray nozzle does a fantastic job cleaning concrete it is just slower than a bigger unit. I have seen the line pressure on my gauge go as high as 2600 PSI and the output pressure reading at the nozzle at a steady and amazing pressure of 2200 PSI.

Thanks to this review I hit up my local Facebook Marketplace and found a unit for sale. I won't go into any details of my purchase experience but lets just say I scored a new warranty replaced unit from Dewalt for $70 CAD. One thing you missed about the handle is the locking tab which is inset on the plastic frame, excellent idea.

From a user's perspective washing an old muscle car, lower psi for the soap and rinse nozzles is good, so it doesn't get under light seals and covers or are too hard on trims. An adjustable nozzle is even better. Very nice review.

Success.....I know from reading many of the comments, that many of you like myself have wanted to make the gun a "Stubby" as Josh mentioned in his video. They might make one, however I couldn't find anything that would work directly with the OEM thread (14mm 1.5 pitch by the way). what I finally did was take the gun apart, remove the OEM fitting on the end. This is a 1/8 pipe thread, at this point you just need a reducing bushing. I went from 1/4 to 1/8, then added on the 1/4 quick connect fitting. Put the gun back together and it looks like it came that way.....minus the Teflon tape....LOL I shot a small video and will post it to my channel when I get a minute so you can see what the finished product looks like. Hope this helps a few of you out there and I would like to thank Josh for sharing his time and knowledge to the rest of us.

This worked perfectly for what i wanted. I have a pontoon boat and the deck is vinyl. The seam where the boat seats meets the floor is hard to clean with a brush and you have to get down on your hands and knees to do it. This thing worked great. Not only does it ckean well, but the nozzle reaches perfectly. I dont need a lot of pressure, just an easy way to clean cordlessly. I store the unit in a locked compartment and just carry the battery back and forth.

I recently picked one up on sale ($200). I purchased the the recommended Uberflex hose for mine. The kinky stock hose drove me nuts and is the only negative I have on this unit. It was obviously built to a price point. The suitcase design is a storage game changer. It should win an award. Excellent tip on the UberFlex hose!

Recently acquired this unit and so far super happy. I researched this first and price point is a premium for the clever design. The suitcase size, storage bin, and ease of use are major factors. It has an axial pump, so heavy everyday use isn't advised. And yes the hose sucks.

The max operating out-put pressure can be effected by the supply water pressure too. In a commercial setting you can have higher city water pressure than you would have at your home. I run an average of 55 to 60 psi in my house because it has a regulator on it. At my garage it comes straight off the water meter and there isn't a regulator for the 1 hose bib that I have down there and, that usually runs around 130 to 140 psi. Crazy water hose pressure too, I usually replace 1 or 2 garden hoses a year because I'm to cheap to buy GOOD hoses LOL... My electric pressure washer says it's a 1900 psi unit but, connected to the house I only get around 1600 to 1675 psi. At the garage, I gets closer to 1800. No, it still doesn't reach 1900 psi but you see my point. So for me it seems to make a difference. Thank you for the review, Have a good day!

Really well thought out, especially with that on-board storage, telescopic handle, on-board tip storage in the handle (which looks stout). Thank you for this review. MY QUESTION : why do you say not to use the soap dispenser on this unit? (I have a funny use case for a dedicated pressure washer. I use it to spray Dawn soap as an insecticide into a 45 foot tall avocado tree... Imy honda is rated at 3500 PSI but the chemical dispenser only works with the open orifice which is super low pressure (not sure why?!) and doesnt reach the height i need. I bought the dewalt 60V battery pressure washer you refview also. It's only 550 psi... its pretty heavy, weak, but gets the job done from a ladder... )
@Pecola1FromScratch
@Pecola1FromScratch 11 ай бұрын
My understanding is it's best to use a foam cannon for detailing, because all the soap stays in the foam gun which can then be cleaned out, as well as easily taken off to not use soap. The issue with your situation is, if you use the soap tank with Dawn, but you ever want to wash without the soap (eg washing a car and don't want to use harsh chemicals that may be in Dawn, and instead prefer a ph balanced soap like chemical guys) at this point you've contaminated the pressure washer wand, and hose, so not only would you want to clean out the tank just in case to prevent soap from coming out (it should only come out when they is low presure, eg no nozzle or their soap nozzle, the black one) but you've also contaminated the hose with the soap as well. Using a foam gun/cannon instead, then you just detach the cannon and use the pressure washer as normal and there's no chance of harmful soap coming out, and no need to rinse soap out of the hose. So for your situation, it may not be as big of a deal if you never plan on using it on a car, or don't care to use dish soap on a car. But it's still a cleaner and easier to maintain option to use a soap gun instead of the tank. I'm not sure of the long term results of leaving soap in the tank, for instance, whether you'll need to dran and wash it out after each use, or whether it could sit for years and not have issues, but that's something to consider.

So the only issue that I see with this pressure washer is the storage of the wand parts. You mentioned using a quick connect kit with it so you could use a foam cannon with just the handle and you don't have to have it at the end of a 2 foot wand. Have you tested that all the hand wand and parts will fit back into the unit with the extra length added to them? Looking at mine it seems really tight and I don't think it will fit back into the storage compartment. Are you able to verify this works?

I know this video is knocking on door of being a year old, but did you ever end up using this in your business and how did it do? I have all Dewalt tools and am thinking about getting this for the garage detailing set up.

I’m looking for a pressure washer for home washing. Would you get this dewalt unit and use the Uber flex hose or get the adams 2.0? It’s on sale this weekend. Thanks. I love your videos.

in order for a quick connect to work you need to take off the thread with rubber seal and put on a 1/4-in x1/8-in Threaded Male Adapter Bushing Fitting. You can get it from lowes or HD. Unscrew the gun and it takes a lot of effort to loosen the fitting. After that than any 1/4” quick connect to female fitting will work.

Hi Josh, thanks for all of your informative video's...I picked this unit up along with hoses you recommended...very happy. Question...Did you ever figure out what quick connect tip fit on the end of the gun? You mentioned but did not confirm what size outlet quick connect would fit on the gun. I tried a typical NPT to 1/4" and it did not work...any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

17:53 - Just FYI I have tried to find the 1/4" quick snap adapter for this handle and this connection point is not a standard thread. I went to home Depot and tried all their 1/4 quick snaps and they are all 1/2 threads and it looks like this is 5/8 thread. If you buy a standard 1/4 quick connect it will not work with this.. I'm still looking for the proper 5/8" female to 1/4 quick connect
