Thank you for showing the ingredients & explaining what they do, as well as providing your own experience with them in such an honest & down to earth way! I also appreciate you for making this video because you look beautiful without being 18-35yrs old- when everything looks good on us & we don’t even realize it🙄 (though I can see you being under 35, so I may be wrong)- & without trying so hard to look “young” that you end up caked in makeup & looking older. I love that you use makeup so WELL, &, instead of covering your face in a mask of it, you use makeup to accent your naturally-pretty face & there’s only a hint that you’re wearing any! (which is probably only noticeable to other people who wear makeup!) I admire your talent & restraint. It truly is an art, &, it inspires me to really listen to & heed your opinions & advice regarding makeup up. Thank you for your videos! (I apologize for the length of my comments- particularly the next one😬!)

I wish Onesize would have been more honest about the "noncomodegenic" aspect. Ethyhexyl Palmitate is rated 4 on the scale so as much as I would love to try this one because I am oily, it's not worth the risk of breakouts and hyperpigmentation for my acne prone skin. I know everyone is different so this could work wonders for lots of people. I will definitely check out the Vanish though! It is a struggle finding something that is for acne prone skin. So glad you did an updated video! I was excited to see your picks! ❤

Hi Stephanie Revolution have a dupe for the Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base called superbase. It is fragrance free and much more affordable. As much as I like the scent of the original my rosacea doesn’t and the Revolution version therefore works really well for my extremely dry rosacea and eczema prone skin. My other most used is a green primer from Daniel Sandler as it really blurs the redness without turning orange on my pale skin ( a lot of green primers turn shades of beige and most are too dark for my skin tone). It blurs the pores a little but it’s reduced redness ability is my main reason for using it. Best wishes x

Such a great video on primers!! I’ve actually been curious about the caliray one. I can vouch for the Hourglass veil one. I live in Florida and the humidity is unreal. I sweat as soon as I leave the house. I spend a lot of time outside all day at parks through rain and sweat and water rides and my makeup lasts and I believe it’s that hourglass primer that does it! It’s my go to. I do want some other options though just to try out. Would you say the caliray one is as good as the hourglass? Or which would you recommend I try? I have oily skin on top of the lovely humid environment lol

I probably have 15+ primers in my "primer drawer" I stabled on purely by accident the CoverGirl essence foundation as primer. I bought it applied it and thought, this makes my skin look nice but.. I'm not wearing this as make up, so I put my foundation right on top, that was my best makeup day in a long time, I've since worn it under every different foundation I have and its perfect. I've tested by not using it. Nope it works. My primer drawer is getting very dusty.

Hi Stephanie, thank you so much for the thorough review of so many options. I have tried to do my own research on primers with silicone that break me out... and why!!?? So many foundations have them and don't cause a problem. Trial and error feels way to annoying/ stressful to risk the massive pore congestion. I have a couple water based primers... but they are not very effective and blurring pores, texture, etc. Any insight on why certain primers with silicone cause this... which silicones are the bigger culprits? I always think back to the OG - smashbox... it is the best! And I can NOT use it sadly. But over the years, I have run into the same issue with other primers. Anyway, sorry for the long winded-ness.... thank you for any insight / guidance you could offer.

You asked, so the primers I'm surprised you didn't mention are: *Revlon Photoready Prime Plus. All Skin types, Vit B5, HA, Blurs, Smooths, Fills fine lines. *Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firmx No Filter Primer. Idk, never tried it. Heard it's finicky, and I'd never pay that, but it's Angie's HG. 🙄 *NYX Blur Screen. Blurring Primer Sunscreen SPF 30. Does what it says. Thanks for the video, I might try that L'Oréal one, as I have the Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation. I've always wanted to try Bobbi's, and although I am lucky enough to afford it I will never pay that for a primer period. I am pink tax sensitive, and it never ceases to amaze me how easy it is for brands to get women to drop $30-$40+ bucks on one piece of makeup. Don't get me started on Mascaras. 😂

I am sorry, but all of those products look too new for the review to be credible. 🤷🏻♀️
@StephanieMarie6 ай бұрын
And I’m sorry, but your criticism attempt makes no sense here. I’ve been testing and reviewing beauty products for over eight years now. I’m fairly certain I know how to test and compare products by this point. 🤦🏼♀️ But it’s understandable if you don’t do this for a living, why you wouldn’t understand what’s entailed with constant testing, comparing, and reviewing products on multiple platforms. First, the levels are visible in only five of them. The Hourglass is quite possibly my eighth bottle that I’ve talked about dozens upon dozens of times here, as I stated in the video. I guess I could have emptied it out to make it more “credible”, but that would have been wasteful and silly. I’ve repurchased others several times and have thoroughly tested all of these primers. A few, like the two elf gripping primers are for drier skin than I have, so they of course have less usage - because I tested them and reach for them in colder, drier weather (which is like 3 months out of the year here) but don’t have them in my daily rotation. Since it takes a pea-sized amount of primer for each use, how much do you think should be gone when one rotates several primers in their daily life? Even testing a primer for two solid weeks wouldn’t make a dent in it and that’s more than plenty of time for a solid review - more time than most people give products these days on social media.
