Best Printer Ever! - HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 REVIEW (8710)

I sell printers as part of my job, and would heartily recommend the 8610. In Norway at least, the cost per page is much higher with the new cartridges for the 8710. If you're looking for an 8610 equivalent, take a look at the Canon Maxify MB5150 series - as capable as the 8610, even lower cost per page and has a value add on in that it has an automatic ADF. If you can get the 8610 for cheaper I'd definitely go for that, though.

The best thing about this printer is the HP instant ink program that you can join with this printer, they send ink when you need it for around $ 4.00 USD a month.

Great Choice, I have had one for years without problem, really cheap ink in the UK and it also lasts very long with the XL cartridges.

Is there any difference between the 8610 or the 8710? I'm guessing the 8710 is the next evolution from the 8610 but sometimes the newer version isn't as good as the older version?

Except for the new design the HP8710 looks very similar in terms of specs. Unfortunately I can't guarantee that it is as reliable since I have not tested it personally.

The printers are cheap but they get you when you have to replace the ink cartridges. I have switched to the Epson Eco tank printers that use ink tanks that are very economical and last for thousands of pages of print. I will no longer be held hostage by the ink cartridges!

+Walt Radowenchuk Yes that might be true in some cases. However I personally don't feel like 20€ for a cartridge is too bad. The ecotank system certainly sounds like a great alternative though.

Habe den selben Drucker :) Finde nur die Patronen recht teuer...gibts da vielleicht auch günstige? Tolles Video und der Drucker ist richtig gut!

Ich hatte mein Leben lang HP-Drucker, früher gab es dann entweder nach 3 Jahren keine Treiber mehr (also Schrott), heute gehen sie nach genau, aber wirklich genau nach 2 Jahren kaputt. Zudem die teuren Patronen. Ich habe Anfang des Jahres meinen letzten HP Drucker defekt rausgeschmissen. (Habe damals gegoogled und anscheinend hatten viele den selben Defekt, also würde ich jetzt frech geplanten Verschleiß unterstellen.) Für mich kommt garantiert kein Drucker mehr von HP oder sonst wem ins Haus. Und eigentlich druckt man heut zu Tage auch nicht mehr viel. Mir ist jedenfalls nicht aufgefallen, dass mir was im Alltag fehlt.

Nach lesen von Rezensionen und Testberichten, wonach HP ja qualitativ immer vorne mit dabei ist, sehe ich auch keine alternative. Zumal man auch über die anderen Hersteller das gleiche liest (überteuerte Patronen, verschleiß etc.). Dementsprechend verbleibe ich erstmal ohne Drucker und schaue wie ich damit zurecht komme. Und bisher fehlt mir ein Drucker im Alltag nicht. Vll sehen wir ja von Dir ein Video nach 2 Jahren über dieses Modell. Eventuell lass ich mich dann auch nochmal bekehren, falls ich doch das Gefühl haben sollte einen Drucker zu brauchen.

to bas i nije tako...ja sam ga novog kupio i prva ugradnja patrona spremnika sa colors je manja nego kada kupite u prodavnici normal volumen Nisam siguran da moze jedna garnitura novih patrona sa bojjom da izdrzi 1000 strana ...Nove patrone 4 kasete kostaju 100 eura u Win Win ,, ako punite u nekom el kenjo servisu to kosta 20 eura .....Tacno je da mi se ni posle 5 godina nije pokvario ,,,pre oko godinu dana je dva sata neprekidno radio stampao je master rad za fakultet u 5 primeraka i nije crkao ,jos radi ... NOVI modeli koji imaju spremnike mastila van kucista su bolji jel samo dolivate mastilo KOd ovog Hp 8610 treba vam inekcije da bih punili spremnike i morate biti vicni majstroskim poslovima zynaci intreni spemnici mastila unutar kucista su velika mana TReba stanpac da ima eksterne spremnike mastila van kucista !!!

A good machine BUT>>>>> I don't understand at all how there is more profit to be made by "forcing" people to buy new printers then some replacement ink! I have a HP 8610 that would cost me nearly $200 to replace all 4 inks. A new HP 6960 costs $150. Maybe not a 8610 but still a comparable machine. Makes NO financial sense at all. And don't tell me that the ink is expensive!!! Then of course there is the environment impact of the 2 purchases!

I have own one and never will I have another. If you have a bad and buy another cartridge you can’t get through the warning page for ink cartridge failure to factory reset it with new ink cartridges. What a POS! I have tried support, they tell me it’s out of warranty. I have tried looking and completed KZbin videos and nothing has worked. I have purchased new cartridges and they don’t work. For what I spent on new cartridges I could have bought a new printer with new cartridges. I also had a HP laptop that lasted 3 years. I have one thing to say here. Stay the hell away from HP it’s JUNK!!!

Shittiest printer ever it can't print photos without freaking out. Settings are correct and I can't get it to print a picture without it jamming
