Sir, very nicely explained. My age is 76, am wearing bifocals since last 50 years. My no is -1.5 + 0.5 Cyl. and near no +2.5. I tried progressive lenses but near objects appeared concave, then I discontinued the progressives. Is it that the progressive lenses do not suit me?

It's disappointing but next time whenever you purchase progressive glasses ask shopkeeper for engraving mark on lenses. Each progressive lenses has particular engraving mark on the lens for recognition of brand. Thanks for writing
