I see you used a good quality air hose your propane supply line like I use. We used them for years on irrigation pumps in the hot summers and they have held up fine. When they are after the regulator they just have about a half pound of pressure on them. This house is total electric and I run a hose through the window to a Mr Heater 30000 btu radiant heater on legs when I need it. Has saved my butt a couple of times in ice storms. Heats the 1700 sq ft fine down to 6 below. We also have co2 sensors/fire alarms in a couple of places. We run the hose through the window and I have everything on flare swivel fittings so it is fast to hook up. I throw a towel at the bottom of the window to kind of seal the gap where the hose comes through. I have a 500 gal tank and buy bulk in July or August at the rock bottom prices. I could run a year maybe two years on propane alone for heat. After winter I take my hose off and use flare plugs and caps to seal everything and roll it up and store it out of the sun. I would hate to pay your propane bill.

I have a shop similar to yours but about 1/8of the size. I installed a natural gas overhead radiant tube heater and I will not look back. I've been joyed it for over three years. There is no condensation in the building. And it is the most enjoyable heat from a thermostat. Based on your shop size I think you would need maybe 200 BTU tube heater with a couple fans. I went with SRP overhead radiant heaters

The duel tank top (and single) 100 percent will fail and you'll have to use a clamp of some sort to use it, like he said. @@wildcatwilly 24hr day or work day? I’ve got a small propane salamander type heater with the fan and it only gives me 6 hours on high maybe. It’s a 60k btu I used to try and keep my garage warm like 50-60 degrees but that was just far to costly with my heater to make it worth while so I just use this for 15 20 minutes every couple hours and keep my paint and stuff from freezing but I’d like to have something that’s more efficient I could keep it around 50 would be comfortable. So if your talking 2 24 hour days then that would give me hour hour and a half a day to run and last me around a month I have a small two car garage and it’s attached to my house and insulated but some days are to cold for the heat coming through the wall to keep it above freezing.
