After 500 videos, this has been the only one that has went over button names, configuration and usage. A lot of these controllers have different designs and button mapping. Some have screenshot and video record buttons and no one ever says a word. 😮 Also, great review on these products. It's hard to find controllers that fit the larger and foldable phones comfortably. Plus these are are a great price and offer so much flexibility in usuage!

Here a very useful tip! I saw a video about the ipega 9083, the controller dont need a remapping! why? I tell you, because in the video the guy was activating the developer mode in android and under this menu you can activate the point: touch feedback after this you can now see always a point when you touching the screen. And this controller of ipega has already assigned touch fields!!!! Which means when the controller is connected to the android device and you press a button on the controller you are able to see on your screen where he set the point of contact and every button on the controller has an assigned area on the screen!!!!

I was looking for an controller to fit up to an Tab A 10.1 tablet but I was wondering if there are similar controllers with the L buttons mounted on the bottom preferably at an 45ish degree angle away from user due to ulnar drift in hands from arthritis ? I just got mine but there are deadzone on the right joystick. I used an app called GamePad Test and the right joystick cannot navigate to the bottom left. Are you having any issues with the joysticks?

They both take a little getting use to with the joy sticks. 9167 is really tight and 9083s is a little loose (my right one more than left).

I use the 9083s the most, you should try it. Just make sure you have it on the right mode. Not that great when driving vehicles but everything else is good!

I just connected it through Bluetooth settings similar to other Bluetooth devices. You may have to change what mode it's in if it's not connecting.

You might just have it in the wrong mode. By holding home button and up/left/right will determine which mode it's in.

Is there any way to set the right joystick y-axis to inverted, there is a way to set it up if you are actually using a PlayStation Remote but I noticed that these mapping remotes do not work with the y-axis flip option in the game so my guess is it has to be optional for the remote?

my 9167 right part just stopped working, except for R2 and select, and I can make up my mind now between ipega 9023 and gamesir x2 bluetooth or just buying another 9167 since it is the cheapest choice. I worry the same problem will happen since the results I found says it's a manufacturing problem that affects the connections. it lasted 7 months so it isn't that bad for the price but not good enough for me.

It support cod, but the quality of joysticks is horrible for something like a shooter. I will buy the replace from Xbox controller, and put it on the ipega controller.

Thanks for the video. I don't like the arrangement of the right analogue stick at the ipega. You have to constantly reach around to switch between the buttons and the analogue stick with your thumb. It would be better if the stick was below, or even better diagonally next to the buttons. As is usual with Playstation and X-Box controllers. In its current form it just feels unwieldy. I hope Ipega or other manufacturers will rethink the design and create a new telescopic controller. Unfortunately there is nothing else on the market. The design of the Gamevice controllers for Ipad is actually okay, but they don't have R3/L3 and they are not available for android tablets. So that's a nogo too.

I heard people say that doesn't work properly in cod mobile in single handed mod apparently when you walk and touch the screen for aim your character stop running like you can't control with the gampad and the touch screen at the same time !! Yes, at least the 9167. but I recommend to change the joysticks, because for me, this is the worst part of the controller. I use it with galaxy tab s6, and works in Xbox cloud and in Android mode for emulation.

@@kemmy1792 sorry late response. You can buy original joystick of an Xbox controller for example for few € (2 or 3 € each joystick), and change it. I finally bought the parts needed (in Ali, Xbox joysticks and the upper part of joystick), and iam waiting to arrive. What I have seen, I have to drill a little the motherboard where joysticks are, and make more bigger the hole where in the shell goes. Will see it in near future if it works. But prefer to try than not using it because the nightmare joysticks 😂.

I think they really need to make a new gamepad thats more like the Xbox controller. Where the joysticks are is just horrible it's kindve hard to play a game for a couple of hours and enjoy it when you constantly have to stretch your hands to press a button

Warning: Doesn't support iOS/iPadOS standard mode (MFI) only supports touch screen mimic feature (Direct Mode), and only on OS versions below 13.4, the 9083S also has a noticeable deadzone, and joysticks being positioned above the buttons makes it quite hard to game with, should be around the other way like PS style, or at least like XBOX style. Also, standard mode on Android is not supported under games like COD Mobile and you will also need to set it up using the touch screen mimic mode. Not sure why he says that you dont need third party software to set it up, because you do, as screen size and aspect ratio affect the direct mode alignment, so you will need to configure the game pad for every game you want to play and create a profile for it using the app. I don't recommend this product, as the analogue joysticks really suck due to large deadzones compared to xbox, PS and quality MFI controllers, and it doesn't have MFI or native gamepad support on IOS and as soon as you update your device, the controller is a paper weight, Android users will probably like this more.

I just tried it and it seems like only the left joy stick works, but you have to use the touch screen for the rest of controls. Although the right stick works to kick the ball I don't think it's supposed to work like that.
