Excellent! I was struggling with this model, but I finally got it in HID mode. This controller paired with the Geforce NOW app is amazing! I can play destiny 2 from anywhere with a 5ghz connection and it plays on the same servers as all the other steam users so I can play on my main PC account. This is perfect for farming on the go for controller based RPGs and MMOs. I would not use this for compeditive play, but co op or short play sessions is perfect. I also grabbed one of these for a friends younger brother for Christmas and he uses it flawlessly with minecraft and emulated PS1 like spyro and crash. He likes it almost as much as his switch.

The GeForce NOW app works well with most Bluetooth controllers. You just need to make sure controller is in the correct mode.

Dead zones ?, Does that control come with failures? : 0

@@dgm778 Deadzones as in the sensitivity of the joysticks. Some joysticks aren't as accurate or sensitive as others, so having a test for these are really useful. Sure for some emulated 2d and 3d games, they don't matter as much. But say I want to play COD or Resident Evil on my phone using these controllers, it will matter a lot

Having this controller, I would like to add that when you play Fortnite, you need it in HID mode and you have to set the joystick sensitivity up higher than what it is set to. I couldn't move forward until I changed it. Not sure of that will be a problem for everyone, but it was for me.

I'm pretty sure that X-input is not the same as HID. Some games will work with both types of gamepad. But that isn't because X-input is the same as HID. There are some games that will work with X-input gamepads but won't work with gamepads that only offer HID. Sometimes when you encounter such a game, you may get some buttons that work, but then other buttons won't. Based on the praise for the 7007X (from the other videos on this channel), and because they offered proper X-input, I tried ordering one twice. In both cases, they sent me the F version (not X). As such, no x-input. Only HID. X-input is the same protocol that XBox/Windows gamepads use. If a gamepad is x-input, you will also be able to use it on Windows exactly as you would an X-Box controller. I just think it's really important that viewers realize the HID and X-input are not the same thing. You can get disappointing results if you purchase an HID controller hoping that it offers X-input.

That controller also works in Android direct play mode. In this mode the buttons act as touch gestures or taps. You can change the location of a tap and or the physical button that activates it. Because the controller can store a profile you don't need an app to launch a game and use the controller so you don't get banned . V3 shooting app in Google play store.

Any chance you could do a roundup of 'switch-style' controllers that are compatible with the fire HD 10 (and other 10.1" and similarly sized tablets)? I've been having a blast playing Stadia, PS4 remote play, and xbox xcloud (as well as a bunch of emulators) on the thing since Christmas, but I have to do awkward situations where I lean it against nearby armrests. If I had a suitably scaled controller I'd buy it in a hot minute.

I bought one of these a couple months ago, set it up exactly like Mr Prime, and it did not work at all. Nothing responded to the controls correctly, not even android os. I have this and am quite happy with it. Using RetroArch on a Pixel 4 (non XL phone). Tip: If you turn it on without pressing X by mistake, it will pair with your phone in non-Xinput mode, of course. But if you then turn it off and turn it on again with X pressed, it will still not work properly. You actually have to go into your Bluetooth settings in the phone and "forget" the device and then re-pair it. Annoying.

After watching your review I picked this up from amazon. Is there a way to make this "just work" the same way the Xbox One bt controller "just works" with most android games? I tried both modes, neither would "just work" with Streets of Rage or any of the other Sega 2D games released in the Android marketplace (Virtual Tennis worked). I played around with the V3 shooting app and got it to work Streets of Rage, but I'm really just looking for a controller that doesn't need any additional setup (at least for marketplace games, I'm fine with having to setup emulators). The same way the Xbox One controller does.

@@ETAPRIME Yup tried both modes. What's disappointing is when it's in "X-input Mode" one button will register, and UP on the cross-key will map to Left (Market-place Sonic, Streets of Rage 1 &2). Some market-place games work fine like Virtual Tennis, and GTA 3. Just to be clear when I say market-place I mean the official release of the game by Sega in Google Play. In "Android" mode it works with the V3 shooting app.
