Having been a disc for the last few years, I'm super happy that both DPS and healing wise it's looking to be at least a fantastic first patch for us. Can't freaking wait. Been out of area living in the middle of nowhere for the last 4 months and get back right as pre-patch hits hopefully, gonna be such a treat.

disc is a hybrid, actually think its going to be super strong.. get mindblast, sw:p, sw:d, power infusion all baseline, can still take thoughtsteal.. PI + dark archangel your team whilst pumping mindblasts out its basically shadow. 30% reflected damage legendary on their shields too..

So.... best range pvp dps is priest and best pvp healer is priest.... Discipline and shadow are top tier in pvp. I really hope blizzard allow holy priests to get a two handed mace and give them some melee offensive abilities so they could top melee dps as well....

Personal I think arcane mage is the way to go, I literally did my first battle ground in a month with it and got first place on the 40v40 bg,insane damage especially when you get to cast freely and people who are fighting others

Aff needs to have their inevitable demise immune to purge. It takes so long to stack up for a big drain, the drain can be interrupted with ANY cc to make the stacks be wasted, and now they can just be purged off with one dispel??? And now dark soul can be dispelled as well?? If you just purge and dispel, affliction is not even a spec. It can do nothing at all, it doesn't help that even if nobody dispels or purges anything, you still don't have enough globals to maintain dots and CC or use curses. It also doesn't help that all of your damage can be just dispelled off, nothing but drain life does anything if the dots are dispelled, making affliction literally useless. There needs to be something like "dark glare makes your dots undispellable". Looks like another destro expansion for locks, which is a shame. Well at least they aren't as boring as last season, with less damage tied to 2min CDs, and more damage with fire and shadow schools.

Here are some reasons why I think destro will be definitely the go to spec once again: -dot damage really isn't worth much these days. Especially when healers dispel on CD. UA dispel damage also hits like a noodle so it's not really a threat. -destro has superior cc with infernal and havoc coil -destro's infernal always provides value, darkglare can be countered super hard by one dispel, or by LoS -destro mastery reduces damage taken so it's naturally tankier -destro has multiple spellschools, fire+shadow+shadowflame+chaos. And in SL all 4 are capable of serious damage, with fire being ultra safe to cast -affli is so prone to interrupts, one kick will make them unable to use mobility, damage, cc, or defensives at all -destro doesn't need as much rampup and globals to deal it's damage, which leaves them far more time to use their new utility curses without significant pressure loss. You only really need to maintain immolates and conflagrate casts to do near optimal sustain damage, leaving you a lot of time to maintain curses and fear casts. And if locked out of shadow you have 3 schools for damage left. The only thing affli would have had going for it, was the reliable burst spread pressure during dark soul (which is now dispellable), and the ability to stack up a big inevitable demise drain life, to punish bad and overextending plays (but the stacks which take ages to build up, are now dispellable). You're only going to be viable in a very niche situation where the enemy team has no mage, no priest (in a meta where disc is the only S tier healer, and SP is the best caster), no shaman, DH, or mirror lock.

Not many people even use the wrists and lucid for fire mage though, most I see in game and on the leaderboard run with versa or gush and use reaping and conflict so I don't think your point about them losing those things is very important, full mast does significantly worse than full versa or gush. And PoM already gives 2 blasts.

Don't get too excited. In arenas right now we fighting alot of MM hunters and our BM hunter is out damaging and outliving them all day. 1970PR. I don't know where they got this info but BM is insanely bursty. I'm druid heals, our BM hunter and a arms warrior. We haven't fought a team with MM hunter and loss yet. I take care of the healer and our hunter and warrior pop a dps down to 0 in a matter of seconds. LOL and damage charts at end always reflect BM doing more than warrior.

Have to disagree slightly with your take on Arcane. You might aswell not even bind frostbolt as it does almost negative dmg, and you already have a 60 percent slow, from slow, and a 50 percent slow from chrono shift. Even when locked on arcane. Its not even worth pressing the ability. Fire blast is slightly more usefull but nowhere near the extend you describe it to be. As with frostbolt it does verry low dmg and its primary function seems to be a button to press when locked wich means nothing again if it does no dmg. Or kill grounding totems wich is actually not bad. Again, kind of a niché ability. Not even close to something like SW:D For priests or mindgames Etc. And their dmg i have to disagree with aswell, its not even close to some of the other specs. I would still rate arcane to be the best mage spec but definatly not S tier. Would more argue it into Middle of the pack A Tier as of right now.

Idk you are super wrong about ele. There is the legendary which increases dmg all the time when you press frost you deal increase fire dmg when you press fire you deal increase nature dmg etc. Ele is super broken on beta right now. You literally kill people 100 to zero in 2 or 3 seconds without casting lol

Definitely starting to see elemental shamans start to perform better on the beta. We put this tier list together right as the PvP testing began so there's a handful of changes we would consider with elemental being the main one. We'll be refreshing our tier list the next time there's any tuning though so we'll have more accurate information as time goes by!
