I'm kind of a noob to all the digital amp modeling stuff. I've played since I was 8 years old.(Metal since I was 12 \\m//!!) But yeah, I'm fine with my daw (Reaper) and micing my cabs. But I guess I get a bit confused with what files can be used and where? Okay I'm familiar with ir's. But I generally just load them up on something like the Fortin Natas suit, or JST's Jeff Loomis Toneforge. Are any of these available for use with something like that? Or would I need to get a ToneX, Kemper, or Quad Cortex? Lol, sorry I made it sound like I'm totally clueless but I'm not totally in the dark on this stuff, just not 100% sure I get which file types will work for what I have or if I should just bite the bullet and get a decent unit like the ToneX? I hope that was clear enough of a question to make sense lol. Thanks in advance and for the record, they all sound great from what I'm hearing!! I liked that KSR, the Revv Generator, and of course, the Stealth. Holy shit, they all sounded incredible man!

Which loadbox do you use and what monitor headphones or studio monitors? I also capture my amps with the nano getting good results but sometimes not as consistent as I was wish. Greetings from Germany

@@437bm I'm using the UA ox box as my load box. I use studio monitors and my in-ear monitors to double-check everything.

Do you need the Mesassagah blackout, Evil Pumpkin, mesa triple crown? (Do they make a Mr. Scary for this?) or the MLC vlogg, subzero or 93?

Just got a house party gig with my Metallica tribute band. They said only bass drum and vocals go through the PA, so I'm running presets with cab sim off. I'm still learning the QC, and many presets don't sound great without cab sim. My setup includes choice of SD200, ISP Stealth 180, Use Laney 2x12 with Celestions (from a Marshall 1960), and a new Harley Benton cab that sounds lifeless. Open to advice .

@@justin7t the stealth Power Amp is definitely the way to go. If you're running your QC through a real cab and real power amp, the cab Sim should always be off. You never want to have a cab Sim on while you're running through a real cab. Cab Sims are for studio monitors and FRFR cabs.

@redkurn thanks for commenting. In the app, look for the "shared with me" folder. Download those, and they will be in your quad cortex or Nano cortex.

Thanks for coming. Yes, that is a really good deal, especially considering how expensive these amplifiers are. I will definitely get around to doing this for tonex as well. I've been meaning to do that. Now that I have some time off, I'll be doing that. The tonex pack will probably take me two days. This is going to be fun LOL

My board is small and I want to be minimalist -in case ill use it Infront of normal clean amp, will this be an alternative to my dirt pedals (capturing my pedals) 1 normal and 2 with boost and save it as presets? -will use nano cortex as my main clean and dirt amp when connecting direct/mixer -when I adjust the settings live, do i need to save it before changing presets? TIA

@apuadofrancisco I recommend this product the tone of the captures are al.ost identical to the amp that has been captured. I run the nano cortex threw the effects loop of my engl powerball and it sounds great. I tried to run into the front of the amplifier and it sounded terrible threw almost every channel. Also the nano cortex does not play well with other pedals except boosts. I have tried many different routes to use my pedals with it and it just doesn't sound that good. So if you were to use the nano cortex as all of your tone which is totally possible because of all of the options available on the cloud. I actually have two rigs one as a pedal rig and the other as a nano cortex rig. You see the video's and demos of the nano cortex on KZbin how many of them do you see using other pedals with the nano cortex? I rest my case. But I do recommend it and I don't regret buying it because the tones are fantastic.
