VCA, in my opinion, is no longer Quiet Luxury. It's overdone and commercial. All over KZbin and Instagram. Especially the Alhambra. I would rather have a custom piece by my local jeweler. The timeless pieces you mentioned are timeless. I wear my Movado watches daily. I do have one in stainless steel man's watch. My man doesn't wear it. I had it sized and I luv it! Excellent video.

Even though van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier and other high end jewelry is portrayed a lot on social media, we must not forget that social media is a concised space and it seems that everybody’s wearing it. However, these are very expensive items and you really don’t run into millions of people wearing them that often. Luxury goods will always be victims of their success and social media doesn’t help unfortunately. It is sad to see a high end brand become mainstream but I doubt it will ever be the case with luxury French brands. As for copies, anyone who knows the real thing can tell a fake one.

Came to say this. The nail, the love bracelet by Cartier and the Alhambra are all well known designs, they don't need to say the brand on them. To me quiet luxury is a bespoke piece at the local high end jeweler or a generic gold design.

Perfect timing for me. I am 75 with no daughters and I have been sorting my jewellery with a view to passing on pieces in the New Year. I now feel so much clearer which pieces I will keep for myself. Oh dear, I think that Quiet Luxury is wearing no glitter, no obvious stuff like a Cartier Panthère watch and wearing suede, fine leather, cashmere and being relaxed in one's clothes. I also feel that the boutique VC&A, Cartier, Tiffany or Bulgari are all a rip-off.
