On the traxxas ID comnector, you can use any battery that has the traxxas connector on it within the voltage limits. The ID part is more for charging the battery and using the traxxas chargers.

I know some people are probably gonna be skeptical about you guys recommending your own house brand servo but I gotta say the ecopower 120t is an awesome servo. I use it in place of dual servos in my erevo 2.0 with a castle bec and it’s wild for the price. I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to RTR servos again, best upgrade I made to my erevo.

I would also recommend a good sturdy, somewhat lightweight (doesn't have to be carbon fiber or titanium, remember!) bumper, as this will most likely pay for itself from all those part bills. The way I see it, a bumper pretexts most of you r front suspension, including the arms, hub carriers, all of those things. It is also usually cheaper then upgrading all of your front suspension components. Of course, it won't make your car bullet proof, as if you hit something hard with one of the front wheels at a weird angle, you probably will break something, unless your bumper curves around the front wheels, go-kart style. I found that a bumper can also put your mind a peace, without a bumper, I was constantly worried about wrecking my car, and having to buy new parts and install them. When I let someone else drive my car, it was even worse, I was clenching my teeth and cringing whenever they hit anything. It could just be me overreacting though...

Are upgraded servos plug n play?
@AMain_Hobbies5 жыл бұрын
Yes, typically you can unplug the old servo from the receiver port 1 (steering), and plug in the new servo to the same port. Typically you have to readjust the steering trim adjustment on the transmitter if the new servo center point is different than the old servo, and recenter the steering. If it's your first time picking out a servo I recommend you give us a call or consult an R/C friend for guidance. -Brett

@AMain_Hobbies5 жыл бұрын
Hey Scott. Nice car! The RMX 2.0 is a lot of fun to get sideways in. I have the FXX-D but it doesn't drive like the RMX. I can help you with some electronics though. To get you rolling, I'd recommend a Brushless and Sensored motor & ESC system for smooth operation, like this 17.5T Hobbywing system: www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywing-xr10-justock-sensored-brushless-esc-sd-g2.1-motor-combo-17.5t-hwa38020241/p784984 Here is the same system with a 13.5T motor for a little more wheel speed: www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywing-xr10-justock-sensored-brushless-esc-sd-g2.1-motor-combo-13.5t-hwa38020240/p784983 Basic servo: www.amainhobbies.com/protek-rc-100t-standard-digital-high-torque-metal-gear-servo-ptk-100t/p228478 Steering Gyro (you need in a drifter): www.amainhobbies.com/mst-lsd-3.0-rs-gyro-mxs-841012/p689801 Transmitter system: www.amainhobbies.com/sanwa-airtronics-mx6-fhe-3channel-2.4ghz-radio-system-snw101a32561a/p754115 These electronics are kind of starting points to get your rolling, with more advanced items available out there. I'm not sure what your budget is, or what you're after, but the items I linked to are great options that would serve your RMX 2.0 well. Let me know if you have any other questions. -Brett

AMain Hobbies what is the best battery besides li-po. Because the people I live with won’t allow li-po batteries do to fires hazard Also for speed for a Traxxas slash 2wd with a tamiya Super stock Rz motor
@AMain_Hobbies5 жыл бұрын
A NiMH battery is next best option. A 7-Cell in your Slash would be great, you can also fit a 6-Cell NiMH in the Slash as well, but the 7-Cell will have more punch, or acceleration power. NiMH batteries are much easier to maintain than a LiPo, so maybe it's not such a bad thing. For your Slash, you will want a Traxxas battery if your Slash is using the Traxxas iD connector. This battery should fit: www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas-series-4-7cell-stick-nimh-battery-pack-w-id-connector-8.4v-4200mah-tra2950x/p402528 Let me know what you think, and let me know if you're using that Traxxas iD connector; if you aren't, you have even more options available. -Brett

Is it okay to leave lipos charged overnight and for 7 more hours on top of that?
@AMain_Hobbies5 жыл бұрын
Yes and No. We recommend you do not charge any LiPo battery to 100% unless you are going to use it within a few hours. If you must charge the night before, be sure you have Balanced Charged the LiPo. When you charge to 100% the night before, the downside is the LiPo battery will experience some degradation from sitting idle at 100% full; and sometimes the LiPo will "puff" or swell. The degradation to the LiPo will be minimal, as long as you do not do this often. Don't make a habit of it in other words. Hope that helps! -Brett

It's more common with crawlers, but commonly guys will add a second front axle to the rear end, and then add a second steering servo to it. This way, you can have independent front and rear steering. -Brett

@AMain_Hobbies5 жыл бұрын
Maybe a little in the performance and durability categories. I think of the venting mod as a preventative measure to preserve the current performance when operating in water/snow/mud/sand. But it not only preserves the performance, but also the electronic efficiency, to keep temperatures safe, and prevent electronic failure. Great mod to keep in mind! -Brett

Do you know if it's a good beginner rc? Would you suggest it to a beginner? What do you think that I should ubgrade first? I would like to make it a bit faster and buy a brushless motor but idk whether it would work with the controller and the rest of the electronics is there any solution to that?

Sorry, the wltoys models are not within our realm of r/c. If you serious about getting into the hobby, a proper hobby-grade vehicle will serve you best with replacement parts and future upgrades.
