Using a marker (like a Sharpie), draw a line from the hole to the edge/end of the pole. As you insert the pole into the rake head, keep the line visible through the hole in the rake head. It's much easier to get everything aligned if they're aligned from the start. Or, if you have to twist the pole to get it in, you'll know where the hole is as you go.

@@josephbohme7917I found the idea of drawing a line to be very smart and helpful. Rather than saying thank you, you attempt to devalue their suggestion. I'll not waste another minute trying to understand why others take time to rip others down for absolutely no reason. It's truly senseless.

I have one of these outstanding rakes. They really shine while spreading wood chips and heavy mulch. The teeth are spring steel and won't bend. Incredibly durable but lightweight. It will tangle in bermuda and centipede grasses, use a regular leaf rake for those. It's rare to find a product this well made and it's made in the good ole USA!

I would think that heating it up a bit first with a heat gun/paint stripper might not only be a good way to assemble it but also to disassemble it if you tried to assemble it without using hand cream and it got stuck on you half way in, or afterwards if you had to/chose to replace the handle with a longer one and the cream was no longer effective.

Will this rake will be to aggresive for raking leaves over the winter. I have a sweet gum tree that shed it leaves late in fall and through out winter. I also like to rake during winter to keep air flowing and the winter sun hitting the grass blades.
@SilverCymbal5 жыл бұрын
I dont think so. Remember you apply the pressure so you can be very light if you want. The fingers of the rake still do a great job of grabbing everything that's loose. I think it will work great for you.

Good news and bad news, the rivet is impossible to find locally. BUT I have heard a lot of people thought it was missing and it was in a baggie inside the rake or randle, just check to be sure. BUT if that isn't the case send them an email and they shoiuld send it to you. Last resort, drill the hole through the other side and use a bolt and nut for total security.
