my house has that same lousy exterior vent setup. But it's 16' or so above grade and I can't reach it. I'm in subdivision where there's generally no need for anything taller than an 8' painter's ladder. So annoying. I knocked a bird out by reaching up with a stick. Electric blower inside house blew out a little bit of stuff, but not near all of it...

If the ground wire from your new led light is short and the ground screw in your ceiling light within the junction box is at the base of the junction box. Can you simply cut off the old light fixture ground wire and screw it on to the spot where the ground screw is supposed to be screwed onto the new LED light?

i think they should be rechecked lest becuase methylene chloride has a sweet, ether-like or chloroform-like odor, and you didn't smell anything 25 to 150 parts per million (ppm) I do wonder if they changed it or just some manufactures changed it, or possibly they changed it but the poison side never updated like if you still had warnings for lead gas that was banned in 1996 but still have warnings in 2024

i feel like the carbon monoxide would be low, like it would require the person to break and and drink it becuase if it drop and broke most if not all would have leaked out on the floor. but also how much would it contain if it dropped and hit the the floor, how open a house is. i feel like household chemicals would have a stronger effect

I hate seeing these coloured things on wiring - if I see them on a car I've bought I know it'll be bodged. Just cut the plastic sleeve off and solder it on with heat sink. These connectors are garbage.

Think of how mom taught us to put toilet paper on the holder with the paper coming over the top out towards us. Now with Teflon tape turn the roll around the OPPOSITE way so the tape is coming off the BACK side of the roll and not the front like toilet paper (like he's showing here.) Makes the tape easier to control and to keep taught so there's no slippage when you're winding. Also best to start winding at the second thread and wind towards the back. This way there's room to use the tip of your thumb to hold and get the tape started w/o slippage and you won't have tape gobbed over the neck (hex) where you are putting your wrench so it looks cleaner.

Internet capable access has been more useful than I anticipated. It wasn't a 'Top 5 Must Have' feature when I was replacing a 'late 1800's Chamberlain (DAMN was this thing old! I almost looked up the model to so just how old but it was cold out and I needed it complete on a Saturday.) I've always found this brand to be steady, solid, trouble-free, and now pretty progressive in features. Guess I was more like Dad & Grandpa in my thinking, which is skip the fancy and buy what gets the job done and spend the savings on another case of beer. It's served me well. Being able to see if someone left the Garage Door open has been by far the most useful. I forget, my wife forgets; or you want the doors open while driving home so you don't have to wait, or even let someone in (a valuable delivery you've coordinated with the shipper and not receiving it isn't an option- Water Heater!). Risk? Of course. Internet access makes it vulnerable, but it connects to your local network, so as long as you're home network is secure, this thing is also. Using the App on your mobile phone ; if there was an uncontrollably variable, this is it. You're using the phones Data (4g. lte) to access away from home. I'm comfortable with the risk but just know there is an potential exploit: probably more Hollywood than real life risk. "The Garage Door Strangler".

In the woods I use a KDX220 for what is essentially a farm task: hauling the chainsaw and shovel out to where the trails have been eroded or become blocked due to falling trees. They share the same fuel mix, and the range of the bike doesn't change due to cold weather.

Now it makes sense.... I have an aunt who believes in hand cleaning her utensils and then popping them into the dish washer. I saw her using the dishwasher and asked about the necessity of elbow grease being put into some chore when a machine is present to handle it, she said "if it's there to help you, it won't hurt if you help back".

Just buy a 30A transfer switch that comes with a remote power inlet box, which installs outdoors where the generator is used. Wire up the most important circuit breakers, and you don't have to worry about anything in the main panel, messing around with the interlock, or even flipping breakers in your main panel. Most of the transfer switches I've installed come with an amp meter, so you can ensure you don't overload your generator, providing additional safety.

Not sure if you had the light turned on for a while before trying to ignite it. The increased temperature may make it more volatile to actually catch fire. Kind of like how cooking old wont ignite at room temp, but in a hot pan you can get a grease fire.
