i cannot justify $30 for an eyelash curler and would never pay more than $5 for tweezers. i get the job done just fine with my cheap tools.

I do have to point out. With the blenders you're applying the concealer at the beginning then doing one side first, so naturally the other will dry somewhat and be harder to spread.

I used to use eyelash curlers all the time, but found many of these curling mascaras do the job quite effectively. This has virtually eliminated the need to curl.

Cheap eyebrow brush that's more similar to the ABH one: the one that comes with Milani Stay Put Brow Color. It's super slim and precise. And comes free with the pomade!

I've always used Tweezerman, but I found the pointed end ones work the best. Recently mine broke and I had to use the angled pair I had before. Big difference. I went to buy a replacement, but couldn't find it so I bought a pointed pair by Japonesque. They are just as good and I think they are cheaper. Beauty sponges are the bain of my existence. Beauty Blender won't tell you what it is made from, but the description sounds like EVA foam and I recently found out I'm allergic to it. Such is life, I guess.

Revlon pointed tip tweezers are great, I've had the same pair for years, for when I want a slant tip I've had equate beauty for a about 2yrs, they're really good and those came in a two pack with flat tip ones for less than $5 For eyebrow brushes the $1 wet n wild essentials angled brush is so underrated, it's the thinnest angled brush I've used. Only downside is no spoolie but I actually prefer them separately.

See in my opinion tweezers are SO extremely different. The Tweezerman tweezers are SO good. It gets the hairs so much easier. Theyre just better all in all, it's very hard to explain to someone why the more expensive tweezers work better. You just have to try it if u never have! I'll never go back. I just go to TJ Maxx! I paid $4 for my mini Tweezerman ones a couple months ago! It had a carrying case with it too! I love carrying tweezers with me in my purse. I swear hair's appear randomly when I'm out and look in the mirror in the car! I'm like yuck! Where TF did that come from? Lol

Fwiw, my favorite budget beauty sponge is Kokie. It performs closest to the beauty blender for me. In fact, I actually like it better. My second cheaper fave is ecotools but they break down faster bc they’re biodegradable. So I’m not sure I prefer it over the beauty blender. Both kokie and eco run about $5.

What a huge difference in the beauty blenders!!! If you have to use more product then the cheaper one is not really the least expensive. Also, on the eye lash curler, I have never used one so these have never been on my radar, but WOW the difference it made when you had your right side done and not your left. I can see why ladies would use these! Thank you for doing the comparison! Great video!

I have found that Shiseido Lash curler to be the best lash curler for my hooded lids. No skin pinch. Tweezerman isn't nearly as good as they used to be. They were sold a few years ago, and it shows, as their quality went way down. Now I use a no name brand that I buy on ebay 2 or 3 at a time and replace as needed, usually 2 or 3x per year. Shein is the place to go for other beauty items of excellent quality with really incredible prices! Sponges, Shein makes so many types of excellent, bouncy, dense ones, starting at $1 and up, with holders of all types. They also sell the best false eyelash holder/applicator I have EVER owned. It has a spring and is curved, less than $2 each, black plastic, and a little fragile, but you won't ever want to be without it, once you have used it. I suggest stocking up on a few. You place the lash in the clipped holder, apply the glue and let it get tacky, and then place it on your lid or lashline, and release the lash (spring) & press/ pinch the lash into place. Voila! Easy and perfect placement of the lash. Shein also sells a good lash comb, pink, foldable, less than $3, that's not my favorite, but has a good amount of metal teeth, is as long as my eye, and works very well to separate the lashes, between and after applying Primer and Mascara. They also carry great replacement powder applicators, from sponge to fluff, pads to puffs. Have a little blast and a shopping spree. Oh! TSX15 at the check out, will get you a 15% discount this month. I have no affiliation with Shein or any other company. I am just sharing my experience and opinons, with all of Mila's Lovely Ladies!

In all honesty, I CANNOT stand the Beauty Blender. I tried it many times and on my skin, it's just God awful. To me, the BEST sponge I have used is the Elf Total Face Sponge. It's $5! For $20, you can get 4 of them...totally worth it! Also, if you're going to spend more, I highly recommend the Dose of Colors jumbo sponge. It's $18 and it's worth every one of those dollars. That's my 2 cents on this debate 🤷‍♀️

@@lagatita1623 I enjoy brushes too, but I have a ton of texture on my skin, and very large pores, so a sponge definitely does a better job when applying my products. But I for sure think that you don't need to spend $20 on a beauty sponge for it to do a good job.

@sabinahertzum9728
@sabinahertzum9728 3 жыл бұрын
When using tweezers, you should use them right - it’s not by just picking one hair at a time… Lay the flat side against the skin and slide it towards the hairgrowth, and grab as much hair as possible at at time - that way you get the cleanest ‘look’ than by cherry picking hair by hair… Cherry-picking allows you to miss hairs that would have been removed otherwise - and that would get you better longevity ;) So - sure - expensive can be better, but using it in the way it’s not intended to, won’t give you the correct result… If you want to cherry-pick you can actually get tweezers designed for that ;) And about the sponges - you should have done one side at a time - by putting on consealer and letting it dry on the skin, and talking inbetween you can be sure you are giving them a fair shot…. Maybe next time put on the consealer right before using the sponge - for each sponge… Oh. And another thing I just thought about - ( not that I know what your dominant side is ) you should use the ‘cheaper’ thing on your dominant side - that way you are evening the odds a bit…. By using the better thing on your dominant side, you could skew the results just a bit - just because we already know they are good…. By going dominant side with the cheap and totally evening it up when applying stuff and such - you give it a fair shot…. And just as you said - eyelash curlers are sooooo individual!!!
@dazem8
@dazem8 3 жыл бұрын
i was thinking that myself about the dominant hand. Perhaps her left side got more irritated bc of the angle in which she was holding razor (pretty sure she's a righty by her hair curling videos)
@cm_mb
@cm_mb 3 жыл бұрын
@@dazem8 not necessarily. While the dominant side can make a difference in makeup application because of precision, using a tool like a razor doesn't require precision, but ease of use. I bought a cheapie razor from TJ Maxx (3 pack for $3.99) and it was very rough on my skin. While it did the job, it definitely was not a great experience. Later I bought a different brand (possibly Target, $7.99) that was just a little more money and it was easier and smoother. It actually glided across the skin, whereas the cheapie one pulled, snagged, and dragged. It irritated my skin. Sometimes you just have to try a different brand. Same with beauty sponges. I bought ones from TJ Maxx that were not great (similar to Milana's experience), but I love the Elf sponges, way better quality. Similar price, different brand, better outcome. Real Techniques and Eco Tools are also favorites. In the end, it comes down to personal preference.

You need to test the tweezers on Andrey's eyebrows because we can't see yours, they're so blonde! Haha! Were both of your sponges brand new before you did this test? I find my sponges eat less product the longer I have had them. My personal favourite is the Real Techniques one that has that flat side as well as the regular beauty blender type shape with the point. I have been considering the eco-tools one though as I love the idea of my beauty products and tools being biodegradable and eco-friendly.

I'd love you to compare the paddle brushes for applying foundation, concealer, face & eye powders, eyeliner, etc. I bought a set of 10 on Amazon (rose gold with black handles) but having also recently switched to a Clinique foundation for mature skin, I'm finding my skin seems dry. Unsure if it's the foundation itself or just how paddle toothbrush handle makeup applicators perform. TIA for your input. (I do use serums, moisturizer, primer, etc.)
