Excellent review. Kevin Talbot is the king of rc bashing, Tomley claims he is the king of cheap rc. But you are the king of good reviews 🤴. I have been waiting long time for this review, but I guess you wouldn’t make this before you had enough experience with the new Sledge and Kronos. Others would have made an “In dept review” two days after they got a new car, but not you, big thanks for that 👍 👍 👍 👍

Excellent analysis once more. You're seemingly one of only a VERY few KZbinrs not afraid to call out the Traxxas Sledge on its issues. Too many of the other KZbinrs come across as being an extension of RC companies marketing departments. It's the same for other hobbies too where so-called influencers don't give the consumer an honest opinion because what matters most to them is paid sponsorship deals and ensuring to continue the free supply of products to 'review'.

@@pukeylukey2852 I've not seen his videos but that does sound rather suspicious, lol. The usual giveaway sign for me is when a KZbinr routinely describes every product from Traxxas and the Horizon Hobbies stable of brands as being awesome, amazing, etc., while offering no real criticisms unless it's a product from a smaller company that doesn't much matter to them commercially.

Well Razor, I have to agree with your pick for the Outcast. It's fun even on 4s. Team corally seems to be catching up but lacking parts, at least in my area. I remember pre ordering the original erevo and it was a blast for what it was. While I like traxxas stuff, I feel you pay more for the name and they need more upgrades to get them bash worthy.

Thanks for the informative videos and I really enjoyed it. I do love my Erevo 2.0 I bought a new one about a month ago because of your videos on it. They have definitely made some small changes to this truck since the initial release as I had one when they first came out. On this new one I have not busted a linkage end yet so I’m really enjoying the truck now compared to then. The sledge does interest me and M2C seems to be working on parts for that truck. Arrma you can’t go wrong with. I sold my outcast. So my only Arrma rig is my Typhon TLR which I love right now as well. 👋🇨🇦

Finally got around to watching this, great review and interesting conclusion! I have a Kraton v5, Outcast EXB, and a Sledge, and out of all of them I prefer the Sledge hands down. It turns and handles better than the Kraton, and does backflips like the Outcast, and is more durable than both from my experience. One thing I dislike about the Outcast is the understeer and horrible turning radius. Also on the Arrmas the pivot balls and dogbones almost always pop out after a crash or bad landing, and those wing mounts are such a weak spot, they're always snapping off and it's a pain to fix them. I haven't had a single major issue with my Sledge so far, it's the most reliable and most durable, I do run the stock gearing because 55mph is fast enough for me. I think the Sledge is underrated, it turns and handles great, has awesome power stock, love the body and battery tray, and it's a tank with stock gearing, never had an issue with the motor mount.

I think jaytee RC said it well, the e revo can soak up terrain and looks to have more active suspension than the rest but isn’t as tough as the others. I don’t send my RCs 60 ft in the air and love some rough terrain so I’d probably stick with the revo, more of a drivers truck especially after some TLC and a max6. Once you get those pivot balls glued in it really can take a good beating too 😈👌🏽

How does the Kronos or the Keaton handle compared to the new Maxx (with wide body) or Corally Muraco? Particularly interested for the grass.
@toolbaggers2 жыл бұрын
I think a truggy is a performance/handling orientated truck designed to reduce lap times around a track. A basher truggy sacrificing some performance for durability. The E-Revo is deliberately high center of gravity for fake ground clearance and looks, so it deliberately handles bad by design. I say fake ground clearance as the diffs are the lowest part to the ground. The only advantage to this design would be for doing jumping tricks and wheelies. A stunt truck. Not as bad a donk vehicle or a ridiculously lifted truck with tiny wheels. Having the cab 4 feet off the ground but you only have 6 inches of ground clearance (again because of the diffs/solid axles) makes them look like clown car with crappy needlessly bad handling.

Solid solid review and points on all. Traxxas fan but the arrma outcast is a favorite of mine. Just a cool looking and bashing truck. For 799 Traxxas should have had 7075 chassis better motor mount and their $100 red servo. It should be an RTR EXB. That would make this truck perfect and I would see where my $799 is going. But They skimped at the finish line and added the 20%TRX tax. I own alot of Traxxas, but compared to competition, they tax about 20% more for what u get. My Erevo : after loctiting pivot balls and caps, chassis brace, toe link upgrade, servo and minor build qc issues and adjustments, has been great just as solid as the outcast but handles better with LT springs and p3 rockers. So Sledge for what?

I would suggest ordering 2 cars and it seems like when I have spares it breaks less. I've only had the left rear upper aarms break when I did 15 cartwheels at our local high school running track. Rubberized track is perfect for speed runs. I ended up fixing it with gorilla gel glue and thick black zip ties. I ended up never switching my new rear upper aarms because I fixed them so well.
