It's time for the ULTIMATE RC Basher shootout. We're going to be taking a look at all of the 1/8 6S RTR Bashers available from Team Associated, Arrma, Traxxas, Redcat Racing, Team Corally, and HPI Racing and figuring out which is the BEST RC Monster truck you can buy!
This is Part 1 and features the Redcat Kaiju, the Arrma Outcast and Notorious, the HPI Savage X Flux V2 GT-6 and the Team Associated Rival MT8.
Part 2 will feature the Traxxas ERevo E-Revo 2.0, the Arrma Kraton EXB, the Team Corally Kronos XTR and Punisher, and the Traxxas Sledge.

Tekno mt410, handles like a race buggy and is impossibly durable even in stock form. Best mt on the market. I believe it comes as kit only though.

amazing truck. I debated whether to include the MT410 and Maxx in this video, but decided since they weren't 6S 1/8 trucks, they didn't belong. But I hope to do a 4S truck shootout whenever the Kraton 4S gets released!

Yeah am with you, 6s or 4s who cares, it's about the fun experience and mt410 is (in my opinion) is the best monster truck by far.

Great vid!! Really helps find the good and bad of each!! Well done, very straight forward. Just bought an Arma Senton and it kicks ass! It’s unreal how much these things have changed! Time to move up to a 6s and the Kraton EXB looks freaking amazing, the Sledge as well!! My Senton is a bad ass though, it’s fast as hell and a strong mofo!! Great vid my man, keep ‘em coming!!

While doing a speed run with the Kaiju I hit a rock at full speed.Well before I could blink it shot like a rocket straight into a 4×4 post.Thought for sure it was totaled but it actually only broke a few parts on the driver side.Redcat is stepping up their game and Traxxas & Arrma better pay attention to that.

The Outcast EXB has my vote. My favorite rig by far! Stupid tough, I need a new motor for it though. The 2050kv Firma isn’t enough, I will either end up with a Castle 1520 or a Puller Pro 2100kv.

Can I get your opinion? I’m looking at a 4s V2 Kraton from a friend of mine new. I just bought a used 6s notorious and was considering selling it to get the 4s Kraton. Am I crazy? I drive my brothers 4s outcast and it feels great in comparison to the 6s notorious on par. What’s best for big jumps at Calabazas?

Tekno mt410 for durability and upgrade support. Mt8 for value. Savage for the nitrogang! Also a contender hobao hyper Mt

The only MT I have is the HPI Savage Flux from around 2012. I really don’t like it all that much. I constantly have to work on the differentials, shock tower mounting boots bend. If you have to fix anything other than the front of rear differential, be prepared to take the entire truck apart due to its dual vertical plate chassis. It’s a hard vehicle to work on.

the flux needs a center diff and in this case, the speed is going to sap and slower , but the durability of front and rear diffs will be much better, that are the pros and cons of center diff in general and also applies to flux.

True I’m my opinion the savage actually has some of the best diffs but nobady knows because it needs a center diff which the new xl now comes with but with it diffs stop breaking even with thick fluids

Arrma fireteam 6s is my absolute favorite rig by far. You must get one! Also the kaiju on 5s is awesome, perfect voltage for it. I prefer 5s on alot of my 6s vehicles.

I have also found the proline pro mt to be a solid rig as well. And who doesn't love the krator exb, that makes a nice platform to start with. So my faves are tekno mt, pro mt and the exb (kraton) but, everything breaks, ha.

There are requirements that must be met with RTR vehicles.. A person who buys an RTR is not going to be drilling out shock pistons. People who buy RTR setups are not looking to do race tuning. They want to be able to grab their rig run it have it perform and throw it back on the shelf until next time. RTR Riggs actually need to be set up the most wisely for the mass market

I must be unique since I do all the things you say I wouldn't do since I like RTR as a base to start from. I bought the vorteks knowing I would modify it to 4S. I want the talion exb again as a starting point with many mods in Mind. This is what the group I bash with does too.

Kaiju was a joke thing broke.if you looked at it funny. I stripped it for its electronics and threw the truck away
