I carry a notebook around to aid with language learning. I think I’m my target language, when I get to a word I don’t know, I write it in English translate it later and write a sentence for context. So far I’ve learned 50 words in a matter of weeks.

Having a note book has saved me from losing work holidays when one of my bosses though I was on holiday but another sent to another job also saved me money on expenses when I could explain what and why I bought something for work

About 10 days ago I finished my first notebook which took me a year to complete, and instantly jumped into the next one! Already much farther along than where i was at the start of the first one! I had started because Daniel Handler (AKA Lemony Snicket, author of A Series of Unfortunate Events) had mentioned in an interview that he recorded everything in a small notebook for story ideas. I started it with similar intentions and then some time later saw a video about how someones notebook basically replaced their phone. Then... recently, I was like "man.... I wish I were distracted by something other than my phone" and so, my notebook started becoming that (well, the new one at least). It's a place where I literally can't scroll for hours, and if i really wanna it'll lead to me brainstorming past ideas and crafting new ones! It's really nice. I also got a watch since a BIG time waster for me was "what time is it?....... okay, what on twitter, Discord, and instagram now?" TLDR, highly recommend a lil notebook ya bring around everywhere, honestly has changed my life for the better

Used to do this years ago when I was working, but just as a jotter so the info was later transcribed to its permanent home and the notebook discarded once finished and a comfortable period of time had elapsed. My latest discovery is the absolute joy of writing in pencil again, something I haven't done in decades.... no fancy pens, just good old graphite.

Yea I rediscovered my love of pencils again and I only like wooden not mechanical pencils. I think I enjoy writing in pencil more than pen at times. It feels less pressure lol and love the scratchy texture and friction.

Graphite usually can withstand accidentally spills and getting soaked. Pens, except Microns, can't.

I carry a notebook chiefly as a backup for work hours and instructions, but I still carry it off work for notes on the fly. Love the suggestions for socializing: pose a question and have someone answer it in the notebook .. brilliance indeed! You cud also dream up a list of (icebreaker) questions for your next social (be clean) event .. work it like a game. I saved your vid to my playlists .. thanks.

Ok. Ive starting carrying notebooks many times over the years. They either ended up being under used. Or, they turned into sketchbooks. Thank you for this. I have many! Most are even the size you use!! Onward!!

My trouble with fleeting thoughts is that they fade to nothing once you pick up the pen. Had to play a guessing game describing a lucid dream i've just had.

ok, but id have a lot of fun if somebody asked me these questions. Also, goingo to buy baby notebooks to carry around, seems like a nice experience to be more present in life and see more joy in everyday stuff

Okay, you persuaded me: I'm gonna carry a notebook. But I have a question: what is the blue notebook you're holding when your talking about water having or not having a smell? It seemed to be the thickest, which I'd prefer to thinner books.

Just to clarify, you're suggesting that approaching strangers and asking them, "what's your desired cause of death" is non threatening? I mean, it would definitely be interesting but I'd have to file that one under at least slightly threatening. Great video, you're good at talking to camera!

Imagine running into a stranger and asking “what’s your desired cause of death” 😬 Only way to follow up is to double down with “So.. you walking to your car alone later tonight?”

My question is: Is that ghost question season specific or just for people that look like they are thinking about ghosts at the time? Never mind, I'll just ask them what their desired cause of death is, just to be safe.

I think you should’ve just started out the video deadly serious, holding all the notebooks and said “Guys, this is why we DONT do drugs!” And then just proceed to explain about notebooks without referencing the drugs part at all.
