YES! As a data science major this is exactly why a code of ethics was made for data scientists in 2008 after the market crash. Incomplete representations of data were a large part of the issue at the time, and thus the code of ethics was born. I firmly believe it's our job as data scientists to make graphs to really communicate, not for shock value the way so many social media accounts seem to represent their data these days. It never clicked in my head as a form of doublespeak until now!

Yes but depending on the level of comprehension of the recipient what I am saying right now may seem like double speak and given that double speak is by one definition using words not necessarily because of their differing definitions from the more common varieties but for the purposes of making what your saying seem more important or draw attention to a certain point which I don’t necessarily think is misleading necessarily but can be used as such if such is one’s goal

You can say the exact same thing, the thing with the exact same actual meaning, with two sets of words and flip someone from being curious and interested right over to vehemently spitting in your face with anger. Just saying the same thing from a different perspective can make people think you're saying two completely different things.
