Yeah, a rough and tumble repair kit, not a beauty repair kit

How do you bring leatherman with you on plane?
@FarmBoyRN Жыл бұрын
The bit kit I can carry on. But the knife multi tool I have to put in checked baggage. Leatherman makes a flight safe tool without a knife, but I don’t think it can use the little bits. I’m going to ask Leatherman to make one if they don’t have one like that

Great question! sorry if I miss spoke on video, the repair kit is flight carry on safe, not the knife. Just stick it in checked suitcase

Get some stainless Zip ties .. for Fixes when Regular zip ties would melt
@FarmBoyRN Жыл бұрын
@presidentpotato222 Oh man, yes! Didn’t know those existed! Let me know what you recommend. I of course keep more heavy duty zip ties in my vehicle kits and home defense kit.

@@FarmBoyRN a spool of Concrete rebar Tie wire .. Or Stainless wire .. is a more down and dirty option also .. but Once you have the Zip ties around .. they really dress up tons of Installs around the house vehicles
@FarmBoyRN Жыл бұрын
Totally! I’ve used tie wire often, or 1/16 braided cable. I’ll check rebar wire out for car kits and “hot or fire” applications

Instead of keeping hundreds of dollars in cash, get a credit card with no annual fee, no min balance AND is lockable. I keep one in my travel wallet for that reason. I keep about $100 in 20’s for spending money, and a CapitalOne Freedom card with a $10k limit. If I get robbed, I am out $100 instead of $500, and the credit card is locked and useless to the robber. But if I need big money for a hotel room, a plane ticket, new clothes, an emergency… I have $10,000 at my disposal. Another way to think about it, is that credit card doesn’t cost me anything to NOT use it. If I keep, $500 in my wallet, I am out $500.

Of course! I also carry credit card (2) separately. So if your credit card gets stolen and you are out in middle of a foreign country, it’s nice to have enough cash to get somewhere else. And usually your phone is stolen at the same time, I’ve noticed. That’s why some cash and or very nice people near by are helpful after phone and credit card get snagged. I also go to aid locations where there are disasters and phones/credit cards don’t work, FYI. Thanks for your feedback, definitely keep credit cards on your self too for everyday things.
