Very informative. I hadn't even heard of some of the substrates you mentioned and they sound amazing! I will be purchasing both type of mulches. I hope you keep making your videos, they have great content!!

Awesome substrate video. What will you prefer for tegus, I’m using coco fiber as of right now but I noticed sometimes they poop out the substrate, is it safe for them or should I change it, Thanks for sharing with us bro loved it.

Tony’s PRIMITIVE Animals if they are passing it through it should be fine. Perhaps try to ensure they are not ingesting any while feeding and see how it goes from there! I’m not the most knowledgeable on tegus however I’ve seen one housed on bark chips

Can I use straight sand for a blue tongue???
@karoljo803 жыл бұрын
U can use sand but they like to burrow and with the sand they can’t burrow so with my blue tongues I use sand and mulch in all off my tanks 👍

A mixture is more natural and better, sand can’t hold burrows by itself. Also depending on your lizard they can easily get something fine like sand in their eyes. I don’t use coir peat anymore bc one of my blueys keep getting it in his eyes, it’s not sand but I imagine sand can cause the same issue. Again it depends on the lizard.
