Great job! My daughter got my grandson one for his 8th birthday. It didn't take but a week before he decided she wasn't what he wanted I reluctantly took responsibility for her,"Mango". I thought," Great, just what I needed, a cold blooded reptile!" BUT, from the very first we bonded. We are together as much as is healthy. She actually snuggles as I play video games and we sit outside and read. She is more a small dog than reptile. I was amazed at how much personality she has. I'm no bleeding heart, I'm a 71yrs old ex construction worker that fell for a Bearded Dragon. I researched and learned all I could and she seems a very healthy and happy dragon. Perfect pet for me. The actual materials aren't expensive at all. You just need the lumber cost, carpentry skill, and the space for an enclosure this huge. You can also cheat it by looking for old rectangular floor-standing aquariums, selling the glass aquarium tank, keeping the pedestal, and then simply building a new wooden frame top enclosure part for it all.

Beautiful environment you made for Big Tony. My brother passed away unexpected. Left behind were his pets, we had no idea how to appropriately take care of his parrot or the Bearded Dragon or what was the correct food. Nobody we knew wanted them, so we put out an ad under the pets section for the sale of these pets. After sorting thru the people, we found a couple of separate homes, with people who actually knew how to care for them. These people were willing to pay, but we said no, just glad to see them go to good homes.

@@Stien58_for the conditions he was healthy. I don't know how many rescues you've seen but often they're in far worse condition, and not as friendly due to lack of interaction. And to be honest his enclosure was def not the best but could have been worse. He's clearly been fed as he's not anorexic. But probably not an appropriate varied diet. I told them I would keep it and put it in a tank with a 3D background that has shelves and a cave. I learned how to make that by watching your videos. No one is going to bother searching the internet when the tank they bought (as shown in this video) advertises itself as the proper way to house a bearded dragon.

This pond is absolutely beautiful. I am happy that you are sticking it with your goldfish. They are also my favorite.

This made me so happy, you cannot imagine. Tony has the best friend he needed. Not many people would be able to prepare such a perfect habitat. I wish you many happy years of companionship. I am subscribing.

I recently adopted my first dragon from one of my clients (I’m a tattoo artist). As I was tattooing them, they mentioned that they had a beardie that they didn’t know how to properly take care of, and they were looking to rehome him. I had a few reptiles already, so I decided to take him on. He was kept in a 40 gal with paper towels and had never been able to dig. As soon as I set up his new enclosure, he immediately began digging around, and it made my heart light up! It’s so rewarding to watch animals like these express their natural behaviors. Thanks Serpa for making these videos, they’re always so informative and helpful.

I love how much care you put into their habitats. You try to give them different options to hang out, make it realistic and comfortable!

I used to have one in a large uncovered fish tank . I had tree branches to the top and he would climb out and disappear for the day . He would come back in the afternoon , follow me around and wait to be put back in his tank. It also spent heaps of time in the small pond that was in his tank. They are almost like a dog

Thanks for rescuing him. His life is now a lot better. Can't help but feel, though, that he should here in Australia, in the desert where he belongs. Good luck Big Tony.
