Just... wow. The fact that every single area seems to have that gorgeous ocean view is enough. We gotta stand w/Jenny on this one: Domino's delivery isn't room service! 😆And no, we'd NEVER skip dessert! All of the food looks so delicious. Did you catch the lightning behind Jenny when she's talking about the candles in the wall and how happy she is? The closeup of Jenny having that moment, plus the color of the sky and the flashes of lighting, it's a such beautiful shot! This is awesome, and you deserve the towel-on-the-floor treatment!
@EatBailaTravel Жыл бұрын
hehehe the whole towel on the floor thing still cracks me up! 😆 thanks guys, the entire experience was surreal, and glad you caught the lightning in the background! The view of the storm that night from our room was pretty scary and beautiful at the same time!

This video has nothing to do with my learning curve for my 6 month trip to Mexico, but watching you two have such fun made my day. From TJ my first 10 day stop is Zacatecas. So! looking forward to Exploring "La Quemada" my first Mesoamerican site. I will be thinking of you during my stay. Cheers...

Thanks for sharing this. Can you comment on how you got there? you state you are from Chicago so I am curious about what kind of connections you needed to make to get to Ixtapa. and what airline you flew in. Thanks. Ah, one more question. The website does not say anything about this being an all-inclusive resort. is it? Also Paisanos from Sonora MX, living in MI
@EatBailaTravel Жыл бұрын
We are from Chicago but we actually flew into Ixtapa from Mexico City. There aren't many direct flights there to my knowledge so most likely will have to pass through Mexico City, Monterrey, or Guadalajara. We don't remember which airline we took, sorry :/ but we always start our search on Google Flights to find the routes and then go to the airline's website to purchase. The hotel has rates that include meals but I don't think it's considered "all-inclusive" by default.. their website explains it better and it's linked in the video description :)

Mija, I have a question. My Husband and I are newly retirees from Chgo (& yes we too, are Paisa's from N.L. & Zac.) We want to travel as you guys do but Sweetie, with all the bad news it scares us? Gosh, we admire your boldness. Give us the scoop and drop some tea. Is it as dangerous as we hear? (Geez, I hope not?)
@EatBailaTravel Жыл бұрын
hola hola, con gusto de damos nuestra opinión. As a young woman, I felt like I was constantly having to watch my back in Cicero and Chicago. I'd take the blue line to and from work, but I was anxious even when walking alone from my office to the parking lot (on days that I would drive). In the summers it's normal to hear gunshots from my home in Cicero. We own a stick-shift jeep wrangler - a few blocks away from a friend's house, a young man was killed because the carjackers got frustrated they were unable to drive stickshift and steal his jeep wrangler - this happened an hour before we visited our friend. Someone knocked on my window at the middle of the night asking me to let him in the building so he could get to his girlfriend upstairs. He tried to break in directly into my apartment (2 flat house) after I'd gone to bed but did not succeed. All of these experiences were the norm for me and my surroundings in Chicago and I couldn't take it anymore. I've felt much safer in Mexico than I've ever felt in Chicago. In Chicago, the odds of being a victim of a random crime are much higher than in Mexico. In Mexico, your odds of being a victim of a violent crime depend on whether or not you are connected to the cartels. So, if you're not, you really can live safely in many places. The news isn't wrong, but they sensationalize. They capitalize on fear. There are certain areas in Mexico I'd avoid due to the high rates of crime, like most of the border towns, but outside of that, I've felt much safer than in Chicago. And don't even get me started on the problem of mass shootings in the US where you're not even safe in a movie theatre or a Walmart... those things just don't happen in Mexico.

@@EatBailaTravel This is a sigh of relief. I got the old man watching you guys. Turns out he is familiar with your Mom's hometown in Zacatecas (small world?)The Husband wants to drive from Nuevo Laredo to Saltillo, Torreon, then Durango and onto Mazatlan then south to Puerto Vallarta. I'm not going to lie, it makes me nervous! I want to jump that hurdle and move on? Mexico is beautiful, it's people are so kind and the food is the best. I have been to Europe but Mexico is...... "Como Mexico no hay dos!" Zacatecas is a HOT MESS and yes the news sells and I agree you're right, it's all about perspective. So long story short, your words give me a measure of comfort, Thanks. Oh.....by the way, we are Homies. Thanks, take care.
