We went for Flower and Garden March 2017. We had the Deluxe Dining plan. We knew we were going to snack around the world at Epcot for lunch for 2 days. Which is why we splurged and went to California Grill for Sunday Brunch on our non park day. We loved it. We slept in a little and had 10:30 reservations. We walked off our meal by exploring the hotels on the monorail loop. Then took the boat over to Wilderness lodge. Since we were staying at Port Orleans-French Quarter, we took the bus to Disney Springs. Walked around a bit. They were still doing lots of construction at Disney Springs. Then took the boat back to our hotel to relax. We went back and saw the fireworks that night using our receipt from brunch. We had dinner at Captain Cooks afterwards. It was a wonderful exploration day. I would love to see an episode talking about which restaurants both quick service and sit down are worth taking a break from the parks for. Getting a late lunch or an early dinner (1ish or 4ish) to break up a park day to have a respite from crowds and heat. I know it is easier for Magic Kingdom but would love feedback for all the parks. You are spot on about Ohanas. We were always rushed, so for the last few years, we would tell everyone upfront, "we will be here an hour". You can throw the food at us, grab our plates half done... then hover over us. Thats OK. We will be here 1 hour. Certain table service dining has this problem. Places with high demand, and they know a bad review will not make a single difference (ie royal table). I have to refused my meal when it was delivered before I was even half way through the appetizer.

the wave lounge for a while was a hidden treasure, in summer when it's 100 degree it's cold, and semi dark.

Cali Grille is a must for my fiance and I. It's the very first restaurant we go to for dinner to start our vacation. It's a tradition for us, we just love it.

The many podcasts they produce are so good that now I’m tuning in to the KZbin videos to watch what I can hear a day or so later. Yes, on The Wave! I actually tried the "Bacon & Eggs", per Pete's recommendation and loved it! It's a great bite to have if you're doing a Monorail Crawl!

Excellent show! Great list. My arrangement might be different, but I can understand all of them being on the list. Even O'Hana's. Every time we've gone, we've never had an issue with anything. Everything (service/food/value/etc.) has been awesome. Now, we haven't been in a few years, so things could've changed since then. But I can only go on my personal experiences. When we go next year for our next planned visit, I will tell our server straight up as we're being seated, "Please, do not rush us". I have no problem at all doing that. Again, great job!

When it comes to Citricos they're currently in the middle of a refurb so hopefully the atmosphere issues (the only issue there is) will be at least partially resolved

My Top 3 on the monorail loop: California Grill (best use of 2 table points on the DDP), The Wave, and Narcoossee's (which does not get enough love and I don't eat seafood - I had an amazing chicken dish here a few years ago)

Spent my 2nd anniversary there 23 years ago. The best dinner we had back. Even though we ended up at the quick service downstairs in the contemporary later, it wad an amazing experience

We went on the "Highway in Sky Dine Around". Starts at the Wave at the Contemporary, then to O'Hanas at the Polynesian, then to Citrios at Grand Floridian, then back to the Contemporary for coffee and deserts to view the fireworks from a 5th floor balcony. $170.00pp

After watching this episode, Pete got me really interested in his idea of a Monorail Loop counter service progression meal. It sounds like it could be a blast. I'd love to see a Disney Dining Show where you guys gave recommendations on what order to do the loop and what you all would order at each stop. Or even better yet, do the loop and show us what you got. It'd be very helpful and would also be a really fun video.

We weren't really rushed at Ohanas but had a late reservation and were kept waiting 45 minutes for our table! (no excuse or apologies given) This pushed everything back and we didn't get out of there until close to 1130 and no monorail (thought we might have been reminded that it stopped at 11 - luckily we were only at the Contemporary but trying to get back there was a total adventure as well) ! I also felt because it was late they were giving us whatever food had been left over without cooking new.

We’ve had particularly poor service our last few times at ohana and it was mainly around it taking forever but also being impossible to get refills on anything. We’re definitely not going back next time which is really sad cuz i’ve had amazing meals in the past

Instead of all these list shows, I would like them to get back into the restaurants. Even if they don’t film in the restaurants, but review it back in the studio. They keep saying they haven’t been to these restaurants in a while.

I've only eaten at Ohana for Breakfast and it was really good! Characters are fun (especially if Stitch is in the mix) and I like the vibe there! I really want to Kona Cafe and The Wave both for breakfast next time I come down! I do want to do California Grill, but I'll save that for when I do my 10th trip, 10 day, 10 people Birthday trip in 2 years!

We pushed the boat out and had brunch at Cali Grill last month: it was awful! They made tea in a cafetiere (no, that's for coffee), served cream with the tea (no, that's also for coffee), and my eggs Benedict were practically raw. We had a fantastic view, but at the end of the day, we were disappointed to have 'wasted' 2 credits each on a very bleah meal. We'd have been better off going for dinner.

Wow! Well, that's a lot of $$ to spend for brunch and not be happy with it. Luckily, we've had amazing experiences there for brunch (I didn't have tea or benedict - my husband had the benedict, but he requested hard eggs). To be honest, we went to both brunch and dinner there on our last trip and all agreed brunch was better food - though it was magical to be there for the fireworks at dinner. So, I'm not certain that you would have been better off with dinner....

This is prerecorded. They do have mention of the park closings and Disney Cruise Line suspending sailings on wdwinfo.com (also owned by Pete). I would suspect their priority right now is helping their customers, since they are a travel agent.

Just ate at Ohana a couple of weeks ago and it was terrible. All of the food seemed like it had been sitting out for hours. I got a vegetarian meal in addition to the regular food and it was disgusting. The dessert was the best out of everything but I felt too sick to eat much of it. Glad I tried it once but I don’t think I’ll ever be back.

I'm sure it's delicious but will never go since our family swore off buffets long ago for a variety of reasons. I'm glad you reminded me it was a buffet because I was considering making plans. We did eat dinner there in January and it was very good and the desserts I'd emphatically say were excellent. Cheers!!

The Wave? The food is very good, but zero ‘Disney’ atmosphere. And for people like my wife and I who only can visit every two years or so, atmosphere is everything.

I must be alone on this, but I had a pretty bad experience at California grill when I visited in January. Our waiter got my girlfriend's order wrong, and when he went to check on the problem, we were told that they were out of the pasta she had ordered. No big deal. She decided to keep the steak they had brought out by mistake. However, it was too chewy for her to eat. At this point, we were already feeling pretty out of place in such a fancy restaurant, and were too afraid to say anything to the waiter, especially after he had already hyped up how good the fillet was. For the $120 we paid for our entrees, we could have gotten a 3 course meal at Be Our Guest. Which was, for the money, a lot more fun and a lot less hassle. So much so that we picked up a second reservation later in the week.

It is strange how much my experiences with that restaurant vary. I have had some of the best meals ever at a theme park there. But I have also been terribly disappointed after being hyped for it all day. I think it depends a lot on where you are seated, which crowd decides to show up that particular evening, who is in the kitchen, and even the season (while menu items rarely change, the sauces that go with them change quite a bit). Although I would never accept somebody else's $60 steak because their temperature preferences are probably not yours. And for that price you deserve to have it done your way.

Because the other channels are individual vloggers whose main focus is the parks. This channel is a multitude of people with a multitude of backgrounds sponsored by a travel agency owned by the main host. They all have lives outside of the channel and gathering people together for a sudden unplanned video is untenable
