Hi, Peggy Lou & Norm - I'm new to your channel in the last three months. Found you in searching for videos regarding milk glass and have fallen in love with your love for all things RETRO! As someone born in 1971, and having been raised with both sets of grandparents present in my life, I remember soooooo many of these things. This is a BEAUTIFUL video. LOVE this Christmasses past video. Thank you boyh for curating and preserving so many lovely things of the past. And, I enjoy seeing how much you BOTH love these nostalgic heirlooms. THANK YOU and keep it up. Angelia M. in Kansas City, MO

Hi Jo! So great to hear from you! We hope all is well with you and yours! Thank you so much for your very kind message ;-) Norm and I want to THANK YOU for watching our 'Christmases Past' video that we had a lot of fun putting together for you. Please forgive us for not writing a personalized response message today. As you can imagine, that has become very difficult to do now that we have so many more viewers, who are kind to write wonderful messages, like you do. We love to read them and hear about your fun interests too! You make it all worthwhile! We wanted to let you know that most of the great vintage decorations shown in those OLD photos (since 2005), were thrifted way back when things like the holiday mugs were only $.49 or $.99 each! Peg had lots of fun displaying so many kitschy things (in the kitchen especially). But she got hooked on Christmas PYREX and it took over the shelves out there. Most of those other kitchen things have long ago been re-donated back to charities. You can't keep bringing home more thrifted stuff each year and not send lots back in order to regain room in the allocated Christmas bins, right? Peggy, has always loved decorating and changes her mind after a few years about what she likes in every room. Norm has always loved old colorful (hard) plastic lighted things, but we both decided not only did they use electricity, but plugging in all that was just too much work, too many cords showing, and too much to store. So we sold as many of the 50's lighted Santas, etc. last year on eBay. Peg also decided to sell all of her Christmas deer collection, and many of her blow mold, big plastic candy strings too, because they were all becoming much more valuable. November 2019 sales were great for us ;-) We also sold a smaller vintage 6' Evergleem aluminum pom-pom Christmas tree! Our current one, that we plan to always own, is an 8' NIB vintage pom-pom Evergleem, that we were fortunate to find! You will see it again in our 2020 Christmas Tour by December! You will also see lots and lots of fun vintage collectibles that we've decided are our favorites, plus some new things that we started to collect (like thrifted Christmas figural tins--soldiers, snowmen, Santas, vehicles, buildings, etc.). We are decorating now this week!!! I hope you enjoyed reading this special message being sent to all of you wonderful KZbin Friends and Family! We wish you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving, and THANK YOU again, so much, for your kind support! Warmly, Peg and Norm

Just like my childhood! I'm in the hospital recovering(?) from Covid, and I am enjoying hours of watching vintage Christmas displays on my phone -- it helps a lot with the isolation. Thank you so much for the time and effort involved in making such wonderful shows! By the way, I also love the old radios.

Peggy I don’t know what to say. I wish I could have a private tour so I could pick things up😄. I love the ginger bread magnets and there was one white milk glass mug with pine cones on it that really resonated with me. I collect small china (mostly Bavarian) plates with hand painted pine cones. I have a display of them in my hall. So many treasures for this special season. Also your egg nog punch bowls and mugs are delightful. I can easily imagine greeting my holiday guests with a cup of cheer! This year I will be toasting the holidays with my family over zoom. But I take great comfort in my efforts to decorate for the holiday. I will borrow a feather from you and Norms cap and take my family on a digital tour. You are inspirational.

Thank you so much for your very kind message ;-) Norm and I want to THANK YOU for watching our 'Christmases Past' video that we had a lot of fun making. So most of the other Christmas kitchen things shown have long ago been re-donated back to charities or sometimes sold. Peggy, has always loved decorating and changes her mind after a few years about what she likes to display. Norm has always loved old colorful (hard) plastic lighted things, but we both decided not only did they use electricity, but plugging in all that was just too much work, too many cords showing, and too much to store. So we sold as many of the 50's lighted Santas, etc. last year on eBay. Peg also decided to sell all of her Christmas deer collection, and many of her blow mold, big plastic candy strings too, because they were all becoming more valuable. We still have our 8' NIB vintage pom-pom Evergleem Aluminum Tree that we were fortunate to find. You will see it again in our 2020 Christmas Tour by December! You will also see lots and lots of fun vintage collectibles that we've decided are our favorites, plus some new things that we started to collect. We wish you and yours a blessed Christmas season, and THANK YOU again, so much, for your kind support! Sincerely, Peg and Norm

This is the best Christmas gift I will ever get this year. There are many heavy hearts around the holidays, just take a deep breath and watch the magic. We need not carry the burden and weight of the world by ourselves, many others are helping. My heart goes out to everyone who has lost a loved one recently and in the past. Do not be angry or sad, they have never left your side. Let’s make it a good Christmas amongst ourselves. We really do have blessings to count- ONE ANOTHER! Thank you for the awesome gift. Beautiful and spectacular.

Hi Rickey! Always so nice to hear from you! Thank you so much for writing such a kind and thoughtful message, so well said. We're so glad that you enjoyed this video that we had so much fun making. We realized that we had so very many old photos of our Christmas decorations that we could share now that we have learned how to make videos. I believe most people that have watched this video think that we still have all those decorations, but we don't. Most of them were thrifted way back when things were plentiful and cheap in the thrift stores. I was buy the lovely large chalkware angels for only $.99! Now thrift stores have tapped into the vintage collecting craze and they are not longer sold for those prices, and maybe even not put out on the shelves in the first place. They are all doing eBay too! Anyways, we've always found more vintage decorations and changed our minds about what to keep or not. So probably half of the things shown have been re-donated or sold. We can't store all of that, even if I wanted to, it would be overwhelming to make decisions on what to display each year, right? We had way more fun photos than what I used--lots of work on that one. We will be making a Christmas video of this year's décor too. I'm not quite as kitschy as previous years--even though I loved it all. Thanks again for writing your always great messages! We have been very blessed this year to gain all the kind friends on KZbin, like you ;-) Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Dear KZbin FRIEND, Norm and I want to THANK YOU for watching our 'Christmases Past' video that we had a lot of fun putting together for you. Please forgive us for not writing a personalized response message today. As you can imagine, that has become very difficult to do now that we have so many more viewers, who are kind to write wonderful messages, like you do. We love to read them and hear about your fun interests too! You make it all worthwhile! Peggy, has always loved decorating and changes her mind after a few years about what she likes in every room. Norm has always loved old colorful (hard) plastic lighted things, but we both decided not only did they use electricity, but plugging in all that was just too much work, too many cords showing, and too much to store.

Hi Gio Vanni!

@@Crazy4Retro You're most welcome! I live vicariously through KZbin retro/vintage/thrift videos. I have been downsizing as well. Like the both of you, my collecting can get to be too much to manage. It's time to let others enjoy and add to their collections. Thanks for the memories! Once again, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
