I was shopping for headphones earlier this year, and was frustrated at how little content was dedicated to up and coming brands vs established brands. While I'm no longer in the market for these products, its nice to see someone giving this price segment its deserved diligence.

Great video, thanks Mike. Agree with both Sky and Bob the quality of the mic in a £30+ headset is good. Another one to consider when my son breaks his current gaming headset.

First impressions - £30 for this headset appears to be a bargain especially for the "splash" of RGB that comes with it. Spare earpads is a play, I prefer the leatherette ones as I think they cancel out more ambient sound. When you had them on your "load of bread" they didnt look massive like a lot of others. I have to confess Im not a fan of RGB as you know but on this headset you can notice it but its not overpowering. The voice quality sounded great when you did the audio recording on them, a lot better than the £30 price tag would suggest. Judging by your comments the sound quality is bang on for the cost too. I use a Corsair HS60 headset and Im totally fine with them however if I needed a spare set then I know that this Sharkoon set of cans would fill that void, dont think I'd be disappointed. Thanks for another great video Mike and Kath, these would be a great present for deserving people in this run up to Christmas. Just need a review on an RGS headphone stand to complement the headset :-)

the light is an odd inclusion being that it doesn't really do anything? I guess that fact that the mic sounds really good is the real takeaway here.

Seems decent I bought a £15 set of gamemax razor claims console use on the box but separate plugs for mic and headphones with no adaptor and usb for RGB they sound ok but low end bass is not as good as my turtle beach ,be fine for my sister's son who seems to to go through many.

yeah these are totally worth the money. You do get what you pay for with these. They are not amazing or anything, but for the money they are amongst the best in the category

Pretty colors. I've never used a gaming headset. Anything with a microphone is a deal breaker.

@@mikesunboxing Didn't have internet for a little over a week. My new broadband ISP was trying to scam me with $60 service calls. They kept saying the problem was with my router. But I ran a traceroute and my signal was strong and ended in Texas at a site the ISP had setup to block the net. As soon as I said that to the tech on the phone, my router lights went out, and back on and then I magically had internet.

turtle beach get some hate these days, not sure why? but seems the quality is pretty poor these days

The platic eventually breaks (like after a year) on the left and right adjustment "sliders" for the ear cups. I managed to fix a pair of Stealth 450s by plastic surgery and expoxying each side. Luckily the still fit fine even after making them no longer adjustable. Then about 6 months later, the audio in them went; suspect they no longer were communicating with the dongle. Corsair RGB Void Pro (wireless) replaced them. Highly recommend and come with great software that also allow you to monitor MOBO, GPU and CPU temps. Only downside is they are made to fit larger size heads IMO.
