Nice build setup i play a similar one. Just to let people know 1 particular thing that I think u didn t mention: for the VERY endgame build it s better to temper Ultimate CDR both on Amulet and Ring. The only way to do it, it's to level up a Necromancer and roam the HT until you drop the Necromancer Efficiency recipe. Hope it will help. Having a great CDR on your Ultimate is imho mandatory to clear T8 bosses and > Pit 130.

I hear you and you're not wrong, but I don't have CDR on my ultimate and I can clear T8 bosses just fine, every single time, with no deaths. I'll admit Pit 130 boss took a while and I died a couple of times, but I managed to kill it in the end, too. I must say, I don't enjoy running pits when there's the option of doing T8, which is much more fun and rewarding. I'm using CDR for traps instead, on my amulet, in conjunction with Death Trap and Poison Trap. It would certainly helpful to have CDR on ultimate, but I'm too lazy to level up a necro for the tempering recipe.

Only if you're using Shadow Clone, if you're using death trap then trap cooldown temper works just fine. The damage variance between the 2 is negligible, and you can still do t8 hordes and 130+ pits with death trap.

i didn't have all the stuff for the optimized build so resource genheration was a huge problem. I switched over to using Skyhunter + Precision instead of CQC and it still shreds pretty well and i can spam barrage no problem

You just need more ranks of Innervation and Lucky Hit chance, I reckon. I found Fists of Fate with a GA on Lucky Hit, masterworked it with a couple of crits and that solved all my resource problems. As long as I'm hitting enemies, I cannot run out of energy now when I spam barrage constantly.

What really helped was joining an active guild. With an active guild 7 outta 10 times if you ask for a piggy back on torm bosses someone will take you. Last night I carried someone from 1-50 in 45 min. I’m a very casual player tops 3-4 hours a day, going days without playing. I personally think if you buy a season they should let you take 1 spark or item from last season that is usable at 80. Still gotta hit 80 to use and with some builds that take 3-4 Uber it makes a bit more tolerable

I’ve been playing a version of this build for the last few days and it’s insane (I don’t have Ring of Starless Skies) my only gripe with the build is that while it’s satisfying and I’m able to clear Tier 8 pretty easily, I just don’t feel like I’m actually doing much other than button mashing to keep my rotations up.

Hey Nick. I’ve made both the lightning spear orb sorc and the Andy barrage this season. After last nights sorc hotfix I’m gonna focus on my rogue more. You’re right it’s way more Tanky , the desecrator fiend can 1 shot my sorc sometimes but never my rogue.

I dont know is all your gear master worked and have some myth gear? ran with a buddies sorce doing hordes/6/7 and he had ice shield and fire shield pretty much 100% of the time and killing everything as most the group died besides him, thing is with the build you need constant enemies and fully upgraded gear and all the right rolls on gear...... rogue is still squishy though, there's a 1 shot new barrage build that came out for boss killing to that only has 4 moves that you need....

Interesting. I also have an Andariel's barrage rogue and a Lightning Spear sorc this season, both with optimally masterworked 12/12 gear, aspects and max glyphs. I never get one-shotted on my LS sorc to Desecrators, but I have max ranks of Warmth masterworked on my pants and imprinted Aspect of Concentration on it. I also put full rubies on my gear to boost my barriers. You could try that. T8 clearing is much much faster with my sorc when compared to my Andy's rogue, and it's a more mobile playstyle which I enjoy more. Andy's rogue is hilariously fast at taking down tormented bosses and Echo of Lilith, though. I guess I like each style, they are different, but both killer builds.

Hey great build, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I'm not nearly as refined just yet, but I got started on this about a week ago maybe. I've got him up on my channel, currently smoking Tier 6 and about to move to Tier 7. One thing I noticed. Poison Trap is now officially a WASTE OF TIME. Probably going to slot something else in it. Like Dash again or something, just simply because I enjoy it for mobbing. This is also further proof that Blizzard hates sorcerers because OMG, *this* guy is insane.

Sadly both top builds this season lack great dmg output its very grindy and repetitive with either lit spear sorc or this build. just spam buttons never die which is good and watch the enemies slowly go down in health while other builds like druid do all the good dmg.

Lightning Sorcerer is insanely fun to play and is the most powerful build this season, however it does have crazy high gear requirements. Then again, so does this build if you want to reach the 11 frame attack speed breakpoint. Getting an amulet with 6 ranks of Alchemical Advantage is like winning the lottery...

So I went for the same build as yours, but I decided to use flickerstep boots it has GA on Ult dmg so it boosts No Witnesses to 45% max, I'm using amethyst on my weapons for that damage over time, and also on the Paragon board instead of Cold Resilience I want for Hunter Killer for more damage to elites. So me changing up the build a little bit it seems to work pretty well so far

Yes you can get all the gear that you need even as a casual if you are patient enough and you have strategy. I play 2-3 hours every other day for about two weeks now and yesterday I did like 15 uber runs with my clan and got tyrael’s , so I crafted starless. I also found really nice 2 ga bow which I sold for 15b , bought a FoF with ga lhc and there you go. In the course of 2-3 days from almost no gear now I have bis everywhere with very little effort.

All you need to make this build work is Andariel’s and a decent Fist of Fate. I was a frost barrage build until I got my Andariel’s. I had a decent fist waiting in my stash. I put both on and the rest of my gear is still for a frost barrage build. I had no masterworking at all. All my tempers are for frost. I went from comfortably farming pit 70 to clearing 101 in 2 minutes or less. All uber bosses including Lilith are laughably soloable. Beast in the ice is dead in 3 seconds. Tier 7 horde is doable but tricky. I’m not fully capped on resistances and I’m over a thousand under armor cap. I can’t imagine what this build will do when I’m fully geared and master worked.

I’d say CC is pretty important for bossing bc it allow you to stagger ALOT faster which means less time the boss can attack you . CC is probably one of the most important mechanics tbh

Great video - thank you! But I have to disagree with point about puncture, you can use verathiel for spending energy and then you'll have permanent shield from second wind as well. Also I'm playing this with rain of arrows for speed clearing tier 8 and shadow imbuement, because it can both proc andariels and cc, also gives you 15% extra damage. So specifically for hordes - shadow imbuement + puncture + rain of arrows should give you faster clear times.

@@NickTew Since you don't need active imbue on puncture build you can temper your rings with "ultimate cooldown" from necromancer tempering manual, it's in resource category on rings. I got 25% ultimate cooldown combined from 2 rings. Requires you to get necro manual, but it's worth it, you can just cast your ult after every 5-7 punctures.

It might be a great idea to wait at the entrance and just spam invite. You will find yourself with a guy that wants free materials for Boss rolls. It's a win win. Works for me at least

Nick I have a question reguarding energy. I followed your planner and I am pushing pit 131 and I am loving it. But in hell tide I am short on energy after few shots. Only way I could keep up is to shoot at the totem. Is this normal? Do I need to give up a Maximum life option on a weapon for energy? Also does it matter if I am using sword vs dagger? Cause right now I am using a dagger but I have a sword that has better options.

Mobs in helltide won't live long enough for you to proc lucky hits -> proc innervation. Just don't spam as frequently against mobs that die quickly.

Of course, worst case scenario you use an amulet with a +2 skill and enchant another until you hit a + skill. I made a few like that. Ideally you start with a GA +skill. But expect to spend 100m in enchantments as skills are rarer than other stats

I have a question. Why does no witness scale anderial. On the paragon board it specifically says it’s granting the x multipler to skills. Anderial is not a skill proc because then something like edge masters aspect or other multipliers that effect skill would work. Like the board is not stating it’s neutrally granting it just because.

I wonder how you all always get it together? I'm doing something wrong. For example, when I get to 1500 dexterity with 1200%+ Critical Strike Damage, I don't get the other values to the value I need. Or I get the other values together and the values before that are worsened. What is the best way to do this?

If you're trying out this build, you don't need to have such high crit damage, because damage over time effects such as Andariel's poison nova do not crit. You also need only a little bit of crit chance to ensure you're consistently generating Dark Shroud procs, so around 20% crit chance is enough. Focus on getting your attack speed to 100%, instead.

Andariel's Visage is a must for this build. I don't think it functions without it. I'd argue Fist of Fate with a good lucky hit roll is right there aswell just to get started. If you get those, you can start rolling right away.

Barrage is not the main source of damage in this build. Its the Andariel's poison nova proc (If Im not mistaken, thats why hes not using Windforce. I could be wrong though).

If I wanted to fit in a doom bringer in a barrage , which aspect should I replace with it?

IMO you should only use Doombringer if you're playing in hardcore permadeath mode, to be more defensive and tankier. In softcore mode, there's no need to use Doombringer with this build as it gimps your damage too much.

For some reason my poison imbuement is not resetting nonstop like his and idk how to fix it I have the same build just minor differences in stats

One of the imprints say. Standing in a poison pool it makes will make poison imbu have no cooldown

The aspect burning venom... so when u hit poison imbue, it give us mana ... with enough lucky hit it will spawn poison pool and u step in it to get no cool down on poison imbue..hope that made sense.

Drop more points into Innervation and try to find Fists of Fate with higher lucky hit chance.

@@little_fluffy_clouds thanks! I was able to figure it out. I don't have ring of starless skies and didn't use the aspect. once I applied the aspect to my ring I was good to go

I still dont understand why we have to use the totem dagger instead of some other daggers (like the one that increase your attack speed)? Is it a double dipping bug that I didnt know?

Double dip and barrage ricochets do more damage than barrage does
