So the powervalve cover on the shifter side of that bike. Ive heard that removing the spacer and replacing the 4 bolts with slightly shorter ones. You will gain some lower end power. The 300's have the spacer and the 250 dont have the spacer.

Interesting! My 2023 Beta 300 Race Edition came with the PV cover spacer also. Maybe some other Beta owners will chime in about the purpose of the spacer.
@johndepperschmidt898410 ай бұрын
@@mxengineer1 The spacer became standard when they went to the shorter stroke in '22. It increases low end power, and removing it doesn't help. The power valve responds well to removing the inner spring and spacer, super easy to do. The softer the spring the sooner it opens, which translates into more bottom and a smoother transition. Turning it in neuters the bottom and creates a hit when it opens.

@@johndepperschmidt8984 Thanks! I used to have Red/Blue/Yellow/Green springs for my older KTM 300's. Sounds like I should play with my Beta 300RE PV more!

@@mxengineer1 AFAIK all of the available Beta springs are firmer, which is the wrong direction. Softer springs is the ticket.

How do you find the bottom end power? More with it out flush or with it a turned in 1 ?
@mxengineer17 ай бұрын
Turning out the PV 3/4~1 turn from the as delivered from the factory setting gives the engine a slightly quicker response and RPM build - just a little more lively low to mid power feel. It is nearly flush and I found out more than 1-turn did not make any improvement. Going in from OEM setting does delay the PV opening but I don't need it any smoother.

hello , can you tell some info about suspension ? how it work ?
@mxengineer110 ай бұрын
The 2024 Beta 300 Race Edition has an off road focused suspension setting on the KYB suspension that responds well to clicker changes to dial it in for the trail conditions (little softer for slower more technical trails and firmer for faster more flowing trails). I find it work well over a wide range of off road riding though it is soft for my slow Vet moto riding on tracks.

Did you change the internal spring/s on the power valve?
@mxengineer16 ай бұрын
No - just changed the preload on the stock spring. Honestly the 300RE engine runs so well and the power is so strong and smooth I am hesitant to change much.

How is a Beta for a taller rider?
@mxengineer110 ай бұрын
Ergos are a very personal thing. I am 6'2" tall and 190 lbs. I find the Beta 300RE to be very comfortable standing as the pegs feels back and low (trials like) and with the footpeg position the low and flat stock bars feel fine to me.

Acerbis - lightweight, low cost, and folds away when trail riding. Works well enough to see if you have a car behind you.
