I have the box style pro flo 4 on my 86 chevy monte carlo. IT IS AMAZING. I can fine tune everything from idle air intake to the acceleration fuel at wide throttle. You can adjust time on the fly. I have a 383 motor with 500 plus hp, I called Peter at edelbrock tech support and helped tune the motor via the app over the phone. He told me to add more timing because of the race cam I have and it brought it life even more. The system is just awesome, out the box I installed it in 3 hrs. All I need to do was go to the exhaust shop and get O2 bong installed. Over than that, everything came in the box. I purchased the edelbrock universal sump pump which allowed me to keep my mechanical fuel pump on. Haven't had an issue from it sine I got it 3 years ago. I would recommend this system to anyone 1000 times over.

You should have went with one of the new Holley HP setups they have to basically work with factory sensors, you just use their distributor,, harness, and ecm... Buy a new C100 bulkhead connector with pins, Some wire of correct colors for each, and build a new harness utilizing the Holley harness and pinning it for power, fuel pump activation, power, signal, etc... Buy custom pinning a new C100, you really only pin what is needed for factory gauges etc, no "SPLICING" needed if you do a custom harness from scratch because you are pinning from bulkhead at driver side, it will no longer go to pass side because ecu will go under hood somewhere, will take time, but by doing it you retain all factory stuff, with new tech ecm control, save your old harness or sell it etc. What i plan to do if i get another GTA and go LSX. This way you get new age tech tuning capability, retain factory sensors etc, nice and clean...

Ok. So... I'm gonna be skeptical. Because I'm not knowledgeable enough. Not because I know. Lol. If you are improving the fuel timing by running true multiport efi without improving ignition timing are there any true benefits? It would seem to me that ignition timing would be just as important yet it comes with a distributor instead of 8 coil packs and a 24 tooth ring. Am I crazy or not? I feel that 24x converting it with coils and a 0411 LS pcm would be an exponentially better option. But then again idk. Lol
@cuttersperformance2 жыл бұрын
I see what your saying but It depends on how you think it's not improving the ignition system. No its not a C.O.P ignition so you dont have individual cylinder control, but you do have control on ignition timing and not at the mercy of a mechanical advance as you would on say a HEI ignition. Alot of guys, including lots of race cars run a single coil ignition with MSD at 9k+ RPM no problem
