I also find it helpful to use a volume profile indicator to help set up supply and demand zones. You can see when a level gets accepted or rejected on high volume and trade accordingly.

I've always thought the 1m chart, apart from the 4h chart was what one needed to look at before buying into a stock but you notice that alot of consolidation for some stocks tend to happen alot on a 1min chart but the 5 min is pretty sweet cause you see first hand the highs and lows of every bar. Awesome info. Thanks for all you do.

I’ve been having such a hard time with trading the first 2 hours of the market open. I’ve taken your advice to only trade SPY and QQQ. Maybe I’ve got an unrealistic expectation that I can find a great setup every day. Almost seems like no matter how much I journal, chart, and watch the market daily, I keep making the same mistakes. Love the video content though. Hopefully something clicks before I lose my entire account.

Excellent video Carmine! Thank you. Could you please make more videos like this? Also if you could please show on demand the typical profit from market call entry and market call exit on tight spreads with 2-10 contracts? Lastly, is it possible to use this strategy from pre-market candle knowledge and catch the breakout right after the bell rings?

Hi Carmine, great videos! Been binge-watching for the past 3 hours your videos. The question I have is concerning the strike and expiry dates you use for this strategy. I see you used an at-the-money call 425 but what was the expiry? Do you always use that weekly and at the money? I see many that would use OTM options. Hoping you can respond even if it is an older video it is still very pertinent. Thanks!

@@Hedgeflexlfz Areas where price has moved up or down drastically i always use higher time frames like the 4 hourly to identify them. Its about context though for instance if the SPY reaches $440 and you see theres huge sell off strength that moved it lets say a dollar then you know for sure thats institutional selling you can count that as a supply zone.

Great video once again. I am wondering though, when you see the beginning of the first big impulsive move, why not market in on the second candle and see what happens? If it starts going against you can just tap out for breakeven or small loss but if its right you can capitalize on the first impulsive move and get out when it starts to pull back. Then jump on the second move up past the highs. Seems worth the risk if you can capture most of the first big move up because it's usually quite substantial. Anyway loving your videos, great content.

ILOVE your videos. So informative and challenging I'm still a bit confused in that I do not understand when and why a "supply zone" becomes a "demand zone" INSTEAD OF staying a supply zone and prices going down. Maybe better way to ask. I wouldn't know if to take the short trade and sell near the bottom of the first red candle thinking the first unfilled institutional orders that went unfilled in the previous rally were waiting at where they missed earlier that would then pull the market down. . . . OR to wait until there is an indication that the future/ stock moves into the supply zone and above it to take a long position and buy around the top of the supply zone. I've seen your basic videos on this and it gets clearer every time and think I get the difference between supply and demand and resistance and support OK, just do not have an eye for when a zone that I treated as supply and shorted when bouncing under it becomes demand. Is it the quick rise in prices with no real pullback that says the supply zone is about to become a demand zone? Or the basing candle itself that varies from a typical resistance bounce candle? I've also heard and watched video on "false breakout patterns" that happen when there is a rapid rise in prices that seems to contradict what is going on here. I tried trading /ES futures on NT (horrible customer service/ OK software) trying to scalp off of resistance and support bounces and wiped my account out in 1 day of up and down trading and technical issues with their software. Doing better with trading some small option Puts and Calls, that I have hit on, but still have a way to go to build up my account. . .wonder how I can apply this to my options trading as well as any futures trading I can do in the future. . .

Carmine, sometimes it's not full candles that seem to be the problem but gaps and dash bars if I may call it that. What or how do you trade those and determine your supply and demand zones if you were to draw any. Let's assume it was a dash bar that started your supply zone right to the down side, where would you consider the start up drawing of your supply zone? Cause usually, dash bars are neither green nor red. Just white.

For his Supply/Demand zones he draws with the rectangle tool, then right click and go to Edit Properties. From there, you can change the color and save it as a default for whenever you draw a new one. Also, you can right click on a Price Level drawing to give it a name that shows up on your chart like Carmine does. Hope this helps!

I don't understand why you would go long when it's right below a supply zone. I've watched your other vids and it seems like your message is generally that you don't want to do that; it seems here like you've got a strong key level that the price pushes up to in the first 30 mins, and based on your strategy you'd be going short once it touches that level and bounces back below it, and the thinking seems to be that institutional traders won't be adding to their position unless the price gets back down to where the move started (which is where their orders will be waiting, which is what makes it a good area to go long, rather than up near the top like you did here) - what's different about this example that tells you to go long despite being in supply? In one of your other supply & demand vids, you pointed out that retail traders often do exactly what you did here, going long in a pullback after a strong run up, looking for a continuation and breakout but they end up getting faked out because there's a strong supply zone right above them, and you said the right approach would be to avoid the fakeout by drawing the key zones from prior days and not going long when it's below a key level. Would love to know what you saw here that changes that.

Thank you for the content. Your strategy is very dangerous especially if some people cannot stomach an intraday loss which could be huge. I have been trading before you were even born and one thing is hindsight and another thing is live at the opening. I advise traders to exercise care and stay tuned to other indicators. My advice is if you want a quick buck let it come to you later on, and if you look at Level II and people are bidding hand over fist, as you mention on your videos, then chance it. Gracias for your content though.
