Turk appeared on American Dad, which is missing here. There's also the Deadpool/Ryan Reynolds connection. J.D. love Wolverine and Hugh Jackman. Ryan Reynolds guest starred on Scrubs. Hugh Jackman was asked to appear, but declined, due to scheduling conflicts. When he was finally free to appear, the TV-show had already been cancelled. J.D. burnt himself mildly in a hot tub (same episode as Ryan). Both J.D. and Deadpool have "killed" 10+. J.D. hums the dramatic transition music and Deadpool jams along to a song, prior to the highway chase in Deadpool. Self-parody/meta humor being the main ingredient. J.D. turned back the time with a lever in an episode and Deadpool turned back the time with a time-device in Deadpool 2. J.D. rides a blue scooter, while Deadpool rides a red scooter. J.D. did once turned himself into the Incredible/Professor Hulk, a character who will cross path with Deadpool in a near future.

That was the first season of Malcolm. Malcolm season 1 was 1 yeae before Scrubs aired its 1st season. It's possible this was a precursor but idk

No canonical connection that I am aware of, Travolta was never in Scrubs. Zach Braff (J.D) and Donald Faison (Turk) are best friends in real life, so that's why there in the T-Mobile commercials.

Is it a coincidence or would this technically make scrubs a spinoff of Malcolm in the middle? Like how I've heard family matters was a spinoff of perfect strangers. The wife/mom in fm was in ps. I've seen both but don't remember her in that so she must have had a small roll. But since they had her character in ps first fm qualified as a spinoff.
